Hey guys. It's my first year doing NaNoWriMo and I'd love to have some moral support as I plod away. I was hoping I could arrange a couple write-ins in the New West area. There's a Starbucks on Columbia that I know of, near 6th St. It's close to transit. I know this is a little late for planning, but I'm hoping there are some New Westers out there interested.
Weekday mornings and afternoons work best for me, and I'm flexible as to the place. I'm new to the area, so Starbucks is one of the few places I know.

I could definitely be down for that. Weekday mornings or afternoons are good for me too, and I live pretty close to that starbucks. ^_^

That would be helpful for me. I'm good for mornings during the week, but other times might work, too.

Okay, great!
How does Mondays at 11 sound? We can have our first meeting on Nov.2 and continue on from there. Let me know if this doesn't work and we can pick another day/time of day. SO EXCITED!
I'll be the person in the corner either writing away feverishly or silently tearing out my own hair.

Our venue has changed from the Starbucks on Columbia to the Waves just down the street. The time is still Mondays at 11am.
Hope to see you next week, WriMos!

How long do you guys usually stay? I have class until 10:30 (in North Van) but might be able to come afterward.
Although, not next week, next week I have to be at school all day but I can try for the week after.

We were there a couple hours today, but I'm sure if we knew other people were going show, we'd stay longer. Me in particular since I live within walking distance and therefore have the option of not worrying about parking for once.

Jenbroo and I will be at the Waves in New West Tuesday Nights from 6-9ish. We have the little room at the back reserved for NaNo. (walk to the back of the cafe and look right - the room has a glass wall looking out to the chairs beside the fireplace.
I'll try to remember to print off a sign to put on the door.

Those ponies are awesome! Thanks for the links, they provided ample procrastination fodder. I forgot to see if I could book that back room for our time as well after I left on Monday. But, I'm going into town tomorrow, so I'll try to do it then.

We officially have the Waves meeting room booked for the next 3 Mondays from 11am-2pm. See you then. (I'm working tomorrow night, so I won't be going to the Library write in.)

Um, did anyone else show today? No one else is here.
I was an hour late, but did something Dramatic happen to the group?
I could really borrow an Event to shift this story forward.
Hopefully not The Shovel, though.
I'll get back to the writing, then.

Holy Crap! I went off the rails while alone in this meeting room.
My secondary character just got pickled to death somehow. I am shocked that that could happen.
Too bad no one was here to prevent it.
Like "No, Dave! Not the Good Guy who can't get through to the protagonist time and time again, not like THAT! Give him some tragic dignity, at least!"
Nope. Pickled.
And left on the floor of a coffee shop meeting room.
I hope you can live with that.
I hope it moves this mother of a plotless mess along at least a little.

Turning for understanding to his cousin, his childhood crush, he finds her in flagrante with her own cousin.
This is Jack's worst day ever.
Why is this happening to him? Where is the reason in this crazy world?
Heh.
I think I'll have him arrested now.
It's a long way back from where he's going.
It'll be good for his character. I never liked him anyway.

Wow. Well I'm glad something good came out of my huge WHOOPS on Monday.
I organized the write in, but I completely FORGOT about it! Although, even if I had remembered I still wouldn't've been able to make it. Had to take my cat to the Island on Monday, I left in the early morning.
So, sorry! But please come again this Monday! I will definitely be there and I'll bug my other peeps to come too. I have major catch up to do to get back on track. I'm about a week behind now :(
See you Monday!

Might not be able to be there tomorrow, but Tuesday last was good, and I expect to be there next Tuesday.
Getting very behind lately, too. Bah!
Still outlining though!

Ha! We were productive without the rest of you!
Well, CaitB was pretty productive, and I was fairly productive.
OK I did a lot of re-outlining, so it's more like POTENTIALLY very productive...
But now I can be ACTUALLY very productive VERY SOON.
Plus I didn't disrupt CaitB as much a whole room full of people chatting, IRCing, and laughing it up.
At least I don't want to think I did. Maybe.
Anyway, Mission Accomplished!
See you all tomorrow night, or not, if you're all finished.
