Hey guys, I know that I mentioned this in the "YU PEOPLE!" thread, but I figured that I'd start this as well, to make it a bit more official-looking and to hopefully get this stickied. =D (Oh, and - yes, this is Shadowood. I needed a name change. Long story.)
So!
We will be having writing sessions at Scott Library, hopefully in one of the larger study rooms, every Tuesday, starting at 1:30pm and ending around 3:30pm, possibly. I wouldn't be surprised if there will still be people around later, but I can't guarantee anything past 3:30. =D
I will also be writing in Calumet, Rm. 100 on Fridays, from 12pm-2pm, since I have my office hours then for Calumet College Council, so if you want someone to write with, feel free to join me. =D
If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here, or send me a message, or what-have-you.
And there's a fairly good possibility that we're going to have a Word War between us and those silly UofT people. I'll try to keep you posted! =D

Bugger.
I have class. And then work.
Oh well.
As I mentioned in the other thread, drop me a pm or post if people want to meet for a night writing session -- I can get us one of the rooms in the Student Centre.
Have fun!

I'll probably show up on Tuesdays, but not until 2:30 when my class lets out.
Any word on which study room yet?

I wasn't able to make it up to York all weekend - despite living twenty minutes from campus - so this week, we'll likely be on the second floor, in the larger 'studying' area. There are long tables with outlets in the middle, which seem all but perfect for us. =] And then hopefully next week, we'll have a study room - this was a little bit of a last-minute thing, so this week will be a little hectic, haha.

I'll be there, but I'll be late too since I have class 'til 2:30pm also.
Was actually writing with the UofTers today over at Kelly. They're a fun bunch. =)
Just be careful leaving your writing unattended with a certain 'ninja bunny' around. You might find yourself with some extra words you don't remember writing yourself. XD
Oh and have a big sign with you, I walked by the NaNo table at the cafe area at the UofT library and sat down at another table for like 10 minutes before i realized it was them. Since the 2nd floor study area is bigger, I'm afraid I won't see you guys there.

So as it turns out, all the study rooms are all booked Tuesday 1:30-3:30 next week. Hope you don't mind, but since I was on the site already, I went ahead and booked a room for the week after.
We've got room D from 1:30-4:30pm on Tuesday November 17th. It's booked under "Nanowrimo".
See you guys this afternoon. :)

Jessica - that's awesome! Thanks, I'd never booked a study room before and had no idea how, haha.
If any of you are on here checking to see if I've updated where we are, we are currently sitting in the corner - the library is crazy busy today! Go up the escalator to the second floor, then turn to your right, and look around the corner. You should see a blond kid with a latptop in his lap. That's me. =]
Next week, due to the study rooms being completely booked, I'm gonna propose that we move the writing session to Calumet - I'l see if I can steal a room for it (I will ask at the CCC meeting tomorrow), but it might be in room 100, the JCR., which is loud ad echoey, so I'm really hoping it's not.
Anyway - that should be enough info, so I'll post this in the hopes that there are people logging on frantically, wondering where I am!

I doubt they're still at Scott, but if they are... Go to the second floor, turn right immediately, and right there on the floor by the YU card machine is where they were sitting. Sorry we missed you! :(

Tomorrow we will be meeting in Rm. 100 Calumet, due to the insanity of Scott Library.
To get to Calumet, go towards William Small along Campus Walk, and then go right past it, between Bethune and Stong, and cross the wooden bridge. Go in the doors at the top of the stairs, go down the stairs in front of you, and then turn right. The big open room is Rm. 100.
Depending on how busy it is, we might be able to move into one fot he two smaller, quieter, nearby rooms.
And just a reminder: I will have Zines and CDs (both NaNoWriMusic and Errol's Geek Love Songs 2.0) for sale, and will be gladly accepting donations for NaNoWriMo (and any and all I get will be passed on to oilsdragon at the halfway party)!
It should be fun; maybe I'll actually write something!

Wow, I think the universe is conspiring to prevent me from meeting other York Nanos, 'cuz my computer refused to get a steady connection and when it finally does (after an hour of restarts) and I get a chance to check the forums, I find out the write-in has moved. O_O
Or maybe the universe is not so subtly telling me to transfer to UofT. =p
Regardless what the universe says, methinks my laptop needs a check up with Scan Disk when I get home.
