:)

Yep, I'm here in Dallas with 5 of the Wrimos from the Viddler group, and it's FANTASTIC. The weather is glorious, the snack food is plentiful, and the company of writers is unparalleled.

The coolest thing happened yesterday: I got my Script Frenzy idea!! I've never completed a Script Frenzy before, but this plot is crazy enough that it might work. It will be about a group of people who survive a zombie apocalypse by hiding in a Cici's Pizza restaurant, and pass the time by inventing fabulous gourmet pizzas. And they somehow hit upon the perfect combination of ingredients that make a pizza that kills the zombies. Is it insane? Yes. But it will be a heck of a lot of fun to write!

Wheeeee, it's almost here!!!

(if you want to see the vids from Dallas, they're on the Viddler group: http://www.viddler.com/groups/nanowrimo/ )

Okay Joi - You officially crack me up! :) Your ScriptFrenzy idea sounds insane and perfect. Have a blast in Dallas!

Hey wait - no fair! You're in a time zone ahead of us - you get to start sooner. Maybe I need a trip to Hawaii at the end of the month to get in some extra time. LOL

Joi, you are amazing; 5,000 words already! Even if you did have a couple hours' advantage.

Wait, wait a minute. Morven, are you saying you have 5,000 words already? Seriously? Or does Joi have the 5,000 words? Either way, I feel like a total slacker with my measley 1,952 words. Oh forget that, no I don't! I'm completely excited to have that many words already - even with a wicked cold and three interruptions from my husband.

I'm going to drink some NyQuil and go to lala land now. :) Hope everyone is having a great and fun time!

No, Joi has 5,129 words as of now. I have fourteen. But I'm too tired to do much else tonight. Talk to you all soon!

LOL! Yes, sorry, I do tend to write like a bat out of hell--I average 5k a day for the first 15 or 20 days of NaNo. Then I sleep a lot. :)

Sheery, look at that, you're already well over the word count quota for day 1!! That's awesome!! :)

Joi - You're a rockstar with your 5k a day. Sheesh! Are you going to share any of your story? I so loved your outline of it and I don't normally read SciFi. And yeah, I'm super excited to have more than I need for the days word count already. My husband has our girls out to play. I'm about to go get coffee and write some more.

I'm going to be a cheeseball now and say I totally love NaNo! I'm so glad that I signed up to do this and met a lot of you at the Plaza last weekend. Sniff, sniff. :)

Take care (and have fun in Dallas, Joi) -

Sheery

Wow... I was all excited to start today after church, but then I woke up with a headache, did some stretching and some traction, went to church and my head still hurt. Came home, took 2 Excedrin, slept a bit, ate, STILL hurt (the act of chewing hurt), took 3 Advil, slept again and feel slightly more human. Been in front of the computer for 15 min and feeling "okay"... but not okay enough to start writing. ::cries::

Congrats to those with numbers, and I know I shall make up for it on Wednesday when I have the day off from work. In the mean time, I can't stare at the screen anymore, but "I love you all!" and Happy Writing! :)
