Thanks so much for posting this, I would have missed the sale otherwise!

I'm pretty psyched now. I downloaded the free version last week, and LSB was a godsend for getting my outline together, but I wasn't sure if I could come up with the $45 to buy it outright. This is perfect.

Yes! Thanks *very* much! I've been messing around with a free (older) version of LSB for a few months now and really wanted to get the updated one. The 50% off sale gave me the incentive to go ahead and get it. Much appreciated!

Does anybody know how long the sale is going on? I've so many great things about LSB that I've downloaded it- but it's tough for me to both work on my novel and get a feel for the program at the same time. But I don't want to miss out on the sale? When does it end?

The sale is only good during November; it ends the 30th.

LSB is a bit of a learning curve. There is an author here is writing a tutorial for it. There are tutorials on the website but some don't find them that helpful.
Liquid Story Binder Tutorial Part 1: setting up for brainstorming
Liquid Story Binder Tutorial Part 2a: Setting up to write for plotters
Liquid Story Binder Tutorial Part 2b: Setting up to write for pantsers

It really is worth taking the time to learn... I'm SO in love with this software. I adore it. :) It is incredibly powerful... you just have to figure out how.

I downloaded the trial version, and I've figured out how to set up the fancy stuff. I'm having trouble using the word processor in it! Is there anywhere I can ask about stuff? It's really annoying little things like changing a word into random caps lIKe ThIS and inserting Chinese characters (I use a Japanese computer, this happens in html a lot, but I've never had software problems) at random. It kinda feels like auto correct in MSWord, but I can't find anywhere to turn it off or anywhere that has tutorials on the actual word processor part of the program. I've got half a mind to buy it, because I'm adoring the program so far. It's totally an answer to my problem of a billion notebooks lying around (same with Campaign Cartographer and my graph paper stack), but it's pretty annoying not being able to use the word processor easily. Any ideas?

Thanks for the info. I actually found the site through Dragonchilde's signature. I love it!

There's a Liquid Story Binder User Group on yahoo groups which you can join and get answers to your questions.

You'll find it at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Liquid_Story/

Thanks for the tip! I'd probably have looked into that software, but much later on...

Bought it today. I was hoping for a sale during Nano. He's pretty responsive to the writing community.

LSB is an excellent program and cheaper than writers blocks, however November is not a good month to learn new software for this event. I will take advantage of this offer though and purchase a copy for next years writing. Just a note the LSB license allows you to place LSB on as many computers as you like so if you own several computers this can save you some serious money. Also this program installs and runs perfectly using wine on Linux.

The license is also for-life...it's good for all updates!

Picked it up this weekend and playing with it now. Couldn't pass up the sale and it looks incredibly useful.

I downloaded this yesterday too, and have been trying it out. I am especially curious of the mind map/time line/outline functions but I have some weird problems. Actually only on only one of the pc's I installed it on. When I click an item, I get to edit another place at the sheet than I clicked. On my other pc, this is not a problem. I have tried to uninstall, reinstall and restart, but that didn't help. Does anyone know what this is about?

I haven't played with either of those functions much, but you can probably ask on the LSB yahoo group... someone'll have an answer.

Yeah, a pretty good deal for a lifetime subscription to LSB, especially since it includes updates and the use of it on your other computers.

I just ordered it, but won't start playing with it until after NaNo. Don't need to be learning another program on top of the Windows 7 I just loaded on my desktop.
