As posted by Asphodele in a previous thread, here are the further details...
VENUE: British Library cafe (Go straight in the main doors and head up the stairs, it's a large cafe area at the back of the library. We'll attempt to be at tables near the part where they sell food. Also, keep in mind that the BL doesn't let non-members in after 6PM, so if you're late you may be out of luck! And they will go through your bag at the door.) Google Map Here
DATE: All Thursdays in November (5, 12, 19, 26)
TIME: 5:30-7:30PM
DETAILS: We'll have table signs that say Nanowrimo (and many laptops) so hopefully we'll be easy to spot. Keep in mind that it's a public place and we aren't an official event, so there will probably be a bit of a scramble for tables. We'll try our best to save spots and we'll also bring along two power strips to help with plugging in. The BL cafe gets quite busy, so these write-ins will be the hardest to get enough space at - basically we have to keep staking out tables and slowly expand our area! The cafe has coffee, tea and cakes for sale.
SCHEDULE: We know that a lot of people write better if there are actual times set aside for writing when there isn't a lot of chatter, so we have a (somewhat flexible) schedule. It's a public place so if you're more of a chatty writer you can of course make your own table of like minded people. Basically we plan for 15 minute chat times, and then 45 minute write times, to fill out each hour. Which would go like this:
5:30-5:45PM Chat
5:45-6:30PM Write
6:30-6:45PM Chat
6:45-7:30PM Write
We also have some Nano stickers, buttons, etc which we will give out at will at all of our write-ins over the month. (Big word counts, good progress, creative noveling ideas, etc!)
Hope to see many of you there!

I'm desperate for this right now. I'm sitting at home, padded in my cell with no distractions, and yet I'm still finding ways to distract myself. Write, Daniel, WRITE!
Needless to say, I'll definitely be there later today, for the inspiration.

Grr, I have a deadline at 7pm and due to rather poor planning, I haven't written a word for the project yet. I *really* want to be there tonight but am not sure I can make it...

My plans of attendance have been scuppered by a rotten cold, which I'm sure nobody else wants. I shall try again next week. Have fun, and enjoy the fact that I'm not giving you germs.

I am already here! I have a day off and no internet in my house (and wrote a grand total of 81 words yesterday) so I have turned up ridiculously early. I'm the girl in black, short hair, Compaq laptop. The restaurant's quite busy but getting less so. I've bagsied a power point which I'll surrender to the first Nano person to turn up with an extension cord. :)
See lots of you later, I hope.

Can't be doing with this sitting at work lark, going to the BL now as it's 5 minutes away.
If anyone comes at any point, I'll see you there. I haven't got a sign, i'm afriad, but I'll be in/around the cafe bit on the ground floor. Will do my best to get a table near a plug.

To anyone trying to find us:
So there's a few of us here now - all in the cafe, right at the back (past the cafe counter). Look for the little triangular tables by the wall. I'm at one of those. I've got a little eeepc, glasses, beard. The others are as they described themselves above.
Table space is limited, so grab what you can.

Ok - sorry for the multiple posts, but plan change: we're on the floor at the bottom of the escalators. We've got signs now. W.H Auden is staring at me, the judgmental bastard.

Congratulate me on my stupidity, fellow nanos. The world and the Tube conspired to make me late, and I got there at 6:15 and was not allowed in.
Actually, it was probably my nefarious appearance that made them turn me away. Oh well, it was an adventure anyway, I'd never actually been to the British Library before. I hope everyone who got in had a great time =]

Also, just to throw it out there for discussion (although we talked about it plenty!) we are considering moving this weekly write-in to a different place. The cafe was just crazy busy and we ended up sitting on the floor all perched along a wall, so I wouldn't say it was ideal. Do people have suggestions of other places around there that we could meet instead? We'd like to keep it in the same area - that is Kings Cross/ Euston/Angel - since our other ones are South and Central.

In lieu of my being able to offer up anything better at the mo, anyone have any idea how the Costas, Starbucks, etc, are for size in the area? Probably not as opulent as the British Library I'll admit, but on the off-chance that they're on a par with the Piccadilly Costa size-wise, it could probably accommodate us? Just a thought :)
Won't be able to get out of work until 6pm next Thursday, so if we're still British Library-bound, I probably won't make next week's write-in. And if we're elsewhere, I will most likely be a late-comer. Regardless of all the impossible-to-predict issues with the cafe last night, I still had a blast! :D

I would love that, at any rate.

The British Museum has plenty of space in the Great Court in terms of seating - but there are no plugs at all, so it's tricky for powering up those laptops.
I know there's a big Waterstones with a Costas inside just a bit north of the British Museum, on Gower Street, I think - maybe that would be an option?

Asphedele and I are looking into that very Costas, since the other one has proven so convenient.
We were considering doing the Piccadilly Costas this coming week, since the mid-month meetup is that same night (starting at 7) and is near Piccadilly. We could write for an hour and a half and then go along to that just a bit late.
Anyway, we'll keep you posted as soon as we have a definite plan.
