8K Shout Out!

Hopefully I'll actually be able to post a legit post here by 12am...I have a little less than three hours to write 2k.

YAAAAH! EIGHT THOUSAND!

*glances outside* It's getting light out. Only 2,000 to go, and I'll have written 10,000 words. I can write that in an hour, if I can think that much. I've been writing on and off for 7 hours.
Make that eight. I forgot about daylight savings.

Woooot! I started at midnight, wrote til 2am, slept til 9am, then started writing again. It's now noon and here I am, yaaaaay :D

Just got 8000 words! I can't believe how fast this is going!

I'm actually at 7,800 words now, just haven't updated yet... almost there! I've been updating obsessively every 1000 words or so XD. I need to use Write or Die, though, because I pause way too much.

Have reached 8K by rambling about my OMC's past and the graveyard he's at right now. (Not dead; he's supposed to steal this locket, but the weather is dreadful and Entreri isn't cooperating at all, so it's taking them forever.) Am amazed at self, and the apparent quality (!!) of the text.

Ooh boy, I feel like I've missed a day or two there. You guys SURE it's Nov 1st? And not, say, 4th? Because as far as I know, I may have been sitting here for three days straight without realising it.

Might go for 10K today. Or might go out to buy chocolate. Or both.

Made 8k about an hour ago.
I need to stop writing now, though... I'm getting eyestrain.

Just got over 8K with 8,306! YAY!

and there goes another milestone. 8k, done and dusted. 9k, here I come :D

I made it to my goal for day one, but just barely. My parents stole my writing mojo towards the end. They're very snide about me not helping with chores, but I'm just a bit frustrated that they waited for November first, which they knew was a big day for me, to ask me to do all these things.

Anyway, I made it to eight thousand! YES. Eight thousandth word: jobs.

I hit 8000 words. I have 5 hours and 55 minutes left in the day to get abotu 1800 words. I think I can actually hit a five-digit word count in one day. This is awesome!

Met my Day 1 goal of 8k with four hours until midnight. Maybe I can get to 10k by then.

A bit later than I predicted, but now I'm almost at 9k! I wanted 10k but 12pm, and it's just past it, but oh well :).

8279 words! Last year, I only wrote 10k words and stopped, but I'm almost there now and it's only day 1!

8k for me, as well! But, I'm calling it a night. My butt is killing me! Happy writing everyone!

Google Docs tells me I have 8089. Got it with one minute to go until midnight: last minute sprint on Write or Die. (1298 in 37 min, not, I think, counting the pause where I had to go run my hands under the hot water tap because they were so cold. xP) So I got 8k on the first day; definitely the best first-day-score I've ever had, although I would have liked to get somewhat higher that that on this wonderful 25-hour day.

Oh well. Next year, maybe? xD

After getting up today, I went straight to the computer and hammered out another 1000 words, so now I'm officially OVER 8K! Yaaaaay!
