Hey everyone! I'm working on the plan for write-ins, and so far it looks like we'll be good for either Tuesday or Thursday, and it sounds like most people didn't have any specific desires as far as locations go.
Based on these things, I think our best bet will be to pick either Bookman's or Campus Coffee Bean, just because I think either of those locations will have a better atmosphere for novelwriting, and both work great as generic "hang-out" locations, whereas Peter Piper really is specifically a restaurant.
Except for next week and the week of Thanksgiving (that I know of) I can do both Tuesday and Thursday, if everybody wants. (Oh, actually there may be one more week where I can't do a Tuesday, so I might only actually be able to make it to one or two of the Tuesday write-ins, if we have one.)
If I had to (and it may work better if I do) set a single night, it would be Thursday, because I am pretty sure I can make it to CCB or Bookman's every single Thursday (except Thanksgiving) of the month.
So what works out best for all of you?
Oh, also, I'm sneaking in some information about how you can donate to the Office of Light and Letters, the fine organization that puts on the event as a whole, and in general, works to increase writing and other awesome things, as an example, the awesome stickers I was able to give out at our kickoff party were paid for by donations to the Office of Letters and Light.
Also, (I have a handbook that suggests I say this) that NaNoWriMo does have fabulous merchandise and donation levels available! They're available at https://store.lettersandlight.org/merchandise and https://store.lettersandlight.org/donations . The organization is a non-for-profit, information is here: https://store.lettersandlight.org/are-you-non-profit-my-donation-tax-ded... .
There are also a variety of tactics for donating when broke! These things you can do while researching stuff for your novel, or just searching for what that error message Microsoft Word has given you means.
Also, there's information on how The Office of Letters and Light uses the money they get from donations. All of that is right here: http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/wheredonationsgo
Thank you and have a great day!

Holy cow, man, you're already at 4,500???? Dang.
Anyway, we might as well just set Thursday as our write-in day. Though I would appreciate it if we could meet at 6:00 rather than 7:00. And does Bookman's have any kind of food? Because if not, then I vote Campus Coffee Bean. Just sayin'.

Yeah, Bookman's is the one next to Joann Fabrics and Michael's, however Campus Coffee Bean (which does indeed have food) is just like 500 feet away, across University Drive from Target.
Here is a link: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=1007427486100321... Campus Coffee Bean shows up in the wrong spot, the place we're going will be kind of behind Roma Pizza, Arby's et al next to the Flame Broiler and El Captain mexican restaurant.
I like the idea of starting a bit earlier on Thursday, especially since as I'm done with classes at like noon, I may show up a bit early anyway.
If everybody else is fine with it, I'd say that we can pretty much make it official,

Yeah, I'm done on Thursdays after 1:30. Maybe we could set a time at like 4-ish, but have it last til 8-ish or so, and people can come and go as they please, like last year?
And Bookman's does have a little cafe, but it, of course, does not compare to the awesome power that is Campus Coffee Bean.
I've recently discovered/have fallen in love with Macy's coffee shop, too, so that could be another location, although parking isn't as convenient and it's a little further away for those peeps walking from NAU. But I just thought I'd throw that suggestion out there.

Oh, I like the idea of having a come-and-go-as-you-please, four-hours-long write-ins.
----------(That was possibly the most hyphenation I've ever used in one sentence. Awesome.)

Hi:
This is so great, Cory, that you're organizing this stuff! Thanks!
Any day works for me, but I'll need directions on where the place is.
Cordially,

There's a huge parking lot across from Fratelli's just around the corner from Macy's Coffee House, on Phoenix Avenue & near a little side street called Mike's Pike.
Also, a really great new coffee shop just opened on Humphrey's before Bashes--great atmosphere for writing.

Hey everyone!
So... I've gotten a variety of responses both on the forum and on the email, and it sounds like for right now, if we can do it, for this week at Campus Coffee Bean would be the best.
However, next week is totally open, and I would actually really like to mix it up by trying either Macy's or the new coffee shop down by the Basha's on Humphreys.
In the mean time, here is how to get to Campus Coffee Bean: Hi, I'd like to share a Google Maps link with you: Campus Coffee Bean on Google Maps!
Most Thursdays I am available literally all day, but tomorrow I will not be available until 8 p.m. If you want to, please feel free to show up early as CCB has a really great atmosphere for writing. If we can, let's try to grab some booth seats or some seats on the stage side of the restaurant, as that's where the outlets are.

The thing I was going to need to go to today was canceled, so I will be there unreasonably early too.
I look forward to seeing anyone who wants to join us for writing craziness!
