Always funny, just give the last sentence of your nano novel. Less context the better.

"Edmund smiled inwardly as the diplomat ate what could probably be compared to shredded hot dogs swimming in garlic and pretended it tasted like gourmet."

Civil War piece:
'He grows too!' William whined. 'I don't want a new Ben!'

Sci-fi:
‘I on’y took the job ‘cause thare ain’t nuthin’ hiring,’ Valour grumbled, leaving through the doors out into the Shipyard.

But she only smiled vaguely and kept listening.

Ha--those are awesome.

Mine, predictably, involves booze:

I lugged the flat-packed dresser upstairs, then had to get myself a can of lager out of the fridge before I could even contemplate putting it together.

mine also involves booze:

I wanted another beer, but knew better than to have another one. Because I knew what another beer would lead to- another beer.

no booze yet...

"While the exterior of the house showed many windows, inside there were none, and where you might expect to find small rooms in the house, this place had been completely hollowed out except for a long and wide spiral staircase leading from the ground floor where Svala walked in to another higher level."

Tomorrow kicks off the first action-heavy sequence, so appropriately -

" A faint growling came from the lobby, a low gutteral sound."

I was apprised of the situation before I got onto the Lois, apparently it was thought war would break out soon, but not this soon.

I get it, you like shiny things.

And still going. I used to have this habit all through high school and university, where I'd pick a sentence or word I really liked, and try to fit it into whatever assignment was due at the time. For this one, I plan to incorporate something my boyfriend said in his sleep last night: What is with all this commotion?

Tell me I'm not the only one who does this.

Hey reajive -- you are definitely not the only one! I always love doing that too.

Yesterday someone tweeted something they overheard in Jackson Sq. I definitely plan to use it in my book. Little snippets like that are the best!

The two of them ran, hand in hand, along the footpath, toward the cottage that, it seemed, Brandy should not have left.

Not funny but cool *u*
"As a dog of the underworld she did what her masters told her and just like the Cerberus in Greek mythology, she would bring this man into the Underworld where he would never be able to the world leave again."
... okay well i searched for it the last sentence kind of sucked...
"He would go into this large room, let Cerberus' judges do with him what they wanted and he would try and restart his life and maybe one day he would learn to except it."

-3- needs a hint more drama~! *flails*

He opened the door and noticed a single man in a filthy floral print hospital gown, sitting at a table watching the weather channel and scarfing pastries.

It was as good a way as any to pass the time until she could gracefully withdraw and tell Hazard that, no, the assignment really was not working out.

As soon as the other man was through, he shot a quick glance at Mark, who, sure enough, had a huge grin splitting his face.

If she had time she could go there and look up the small local newspaper, they would probably have more information on local happenings that other newspapers had deemed unimportant.

Hurray, I wrote 1000 words today! Now I'm only 2.5k words behind instead of 3.5k. I'll make it, I promise!
