I remember last year a very fun topic (I can't remember who started it) was the Last Sentence topic, where you posted your last sentence before you took a break! :D So I decided to start it this year.

Here we go! Last sentence before a snack raid break:

The noise was disgusting.

Here it is:

It is kind of like gravity between two bodies but in a much more intuitive sense.

Ten minutes later he had a plane ticket to Frankfurt.

I'm not sure if this will be the end of Chapter 4 or not.

“The big scandal this year is that the new math teacher—Jack, Joe, something like that—actually slept with a student. Can you believe it? What a perve.”

I love this game! Thanks for posting this!

Raj could just make out what looked like some buildings, but were obviously crypts.

A few looked at him solemnly, which was a good deal better then the looks of sad hatred they had given him before.

This should be interesting. =)

Oooh I do remember this thread. I like it, because it encourages you to leave off on some sort of cliffhanger. And we all know (or should know) nothing gets you back to the word processor like wanting to resolve a cliffhanger.

Last night, I wrote:

And if I miss, well, we can try again, right?

Hmm I'll have to come up with a better one for today's session. This is what I left off on last night.

He smiled at Tom and ushered him out the other door from the Balcony.

Is it bad that my first thought was, "Is she writing about a training camp for firing squads?" I think it is...

Haha!

Though - ahem - that's "he" :)

Here's my next final "sentence" which stretches the meaning of sentence well past the paragraph phase. Oh well, you need both, I think, for the drama to work.

So they had to improvise on their plan, and the only way they could see to do that was to slam the ship itself into the planet killing themselves - and the crew - in the process.
And so that was what they would do.

Euclid was already laying down, his crack whore-ishly thin body almost swallowed up in the thick blankets.

Ugh. The things NaNo does to my writing--I'm so incredulous that I actually write than sentence, I have to post it.

Ha, the last sentence I left off as sounds like a rape scene. (It's not- I promise!)

"Roe pulled the girl up into the caravan, grabbing some strips of cloth to tie her against the wall and on top of the makeshift bed, a pile of clothing covered with a few blankets."

At least this makes me want to continue to resolve the fact that it does sound like the start of a rape scene.

I'm so glad we got this topic rolling again this year~

She didn’t plan on killing James… She was just trying to understand what the hell he was.

*sigh* I really need to finish this section, but it's being very difficult, probably because it's a death scene...so...as I take a break...

The sick smell of blood warred with the smell of burning wood.

End of my last session: "It was time to visit Father."

Not going to be a happy visit...

I haven't decided whether I want to start my next session now, or wait for this afternoon.
