Isn't your experience here worth at least $10? Ten Little Dollars?
Let's see more halos, people!

I'm very happy with my halo. I bet everyone else would be if they had one, too!

If you can't donate because you don't have a Paypal account or a credit card, they gladly accept checks and money orders or you can even put the GoodSearch widget on your browser's toolbar for a per-click donation (in 2008, GoodSearch clicks provided over $2000!)

I'm offering up my crafting talents for the benefit of NaNo!
Check out last night's status update on http://www.facebook.com/bodicegoddess/. By the end of the week, I'll have my coffee cozy/pen holders available on Etsy, with proceeds going to the Office of Letters and Light. The tagline I'm thinking of going with is "Keep your coffee warm and your pen close - it's National Novel Writing Month!"
Will keep y'all posted, and certainly offer a discount to you folks in my region - I won't have to worry about shipping to you, I'll just bring yours to the next write-in!

Just checked in on the Donation Derby. We're 8th right now, but we're still down from last year!
I understand I don't have a halo, and I'm trying to make up for that fact. I'll have my cup cozies at the 28 Hour Write-In to sell - proceeds go to NaNoWriMo and will give me a halo so I'm no longer a hypocrite. Includes a free pen, and you won't be paying for shipping!

I treated my donation like a bike tour event (Ironman Bike Ride, Jesse James Bike Tour, etc.)... The entry fee goes toward rider/writer support whatever related cause. And following my ride tradition, I had to buy a T-shirt, too.
Just like a ride event where I'll tell myself, "I can make it just one more mile.... Just one more mile.... Up over that next hill... I can make it to the next rest stop..." I hear myself saying, "I can make it just another 100 words... Just another 100 words... I can make the daily quota..."
Even though I haven't been very good at reaching the daily quota, I do find it easier and easier to get closer and closer, and even beyond. Just like riding a bike in a century ride....

Guys.
Have you seen today's Breaking News on the front page?
If the membership raises $100,000 next Tuesday, Chris has promised he'll write a song about the event and perform it with Lindsey from OL&L doing an interpretive dance alongside him.
And post the video online.
Heck, you don't get anything like that when you pledge money to public TV!

I really want to, especially after reading Chris's writeup of the cash-strapped history of NaNo, but money is really tight this month. :\ Going to see if I can scrape something together.

Holy freakin' goodness. O_o I was going to donate sometime, but now I have a GIGANTIC reason to at a certain date. I might even donate twice as much as I was going to... Man, I hope we can do it. That video would be AMAZING.

I am going to donate! I refuse to forget! I want to see Chris Baty sing the song!
Come on, people! Donate! If not because NaNoWriMo is amazing and awesome and has completely changed your life (you get much less sleep now, and are addicted to caffeine -- come on! what isn't fab about that?), do it because you will be able to watch as Chris Baty and his fellow top honcho peoples humiliate themselves. We deserve some rewards for doing this!
