If you can't donate because you don't have a Paypal account or a credit card, they gladly accept checks and money orders or you can even put the GoodSearch widget on your browser's toolbar for a per-click donation (in 2008, GoodSearch clicks provided over $2000!)

By the end of the week, I'll have my coffee cozy/pen holders available on Etsy, with proceeds going to the Office of Letters and Light. The tagline I'm thinking of going with is "Keep your coffee warm and your pen close - it's National Novel Writing Month!"

Just checked in on the Donation Derby. We're 8th right now, but we're still down from last year!
I understand I don't have a halo, and I'm trying to make up for that fact. I'll have my cup cozies at the 28 Hour Write-In to sell - proceeds go to NaNoWriMo and will give me a halo so I'm no longer a hypocrite. Includes a free pen, and you won't be paying for shipping!

I treated my donation like a bike tour event (Ironman Bike Ride, Jesse James Bike Tour, etc.)... The entry fee goes toward rider/writer support whatever related cause. And following my ride tradition, I had to buy a T-shirt, too.
Just like a ride event where I'll tell myself, "I can make it just one more mile.... Just one more mile.... Up over that next hill... I can make it to the next rest stop..." I hear myself saying, "I can make it just another 100 words... Just another 100 words... I can make the daily quota..."
Even though I haven't been very good at reaching the daily quota, I do find it easier and easier to get closer and closer, and even beyond. Just like riding a bike in a century ride....

If the membership raises $100,000 next Tuesday, Chris has promised he'll write a song about the event and perform it with Lindsey from OL&L doing an interpretive dance alongside him.
And post the video online.
