Nevertheless, the dreaded Renovations have hit the Tea Box, and today it is closed. When Tea Box opens up again, Tuesday Lunchtime Write-ins will resume there. Until then, our back up is THE CUP, on the very same block of Pearl but about five doors to the east.

The Teabox is back open after its renovations, and it has Changed Its Name! It is now Atlas Cafe. Same great tea, same great management (who loves having us here each week!), now with Real Teapots (I think he's still unpacking them) and a great Blackboard lining the whole East wall. Also the largest collection of National Geographic back issues I have seen since that short-lived bookstore opened and closed over in The Meadows.

I couldn't make it to today's write-in, alas, but I hope to catch another one (or make one happen) this week. It was a productive morning at home, though.
Oh, and does anyone around here want to be writing buddies? My buddies page is empty, and that just isn't right. I feel like I have lots of buddies around here, even if I don't really know you all well. We're all in this thing together and that's worth buddydom right there.

It was lovely to see you along with the other WriMos. I mentioned Liz earlier. Micki showed up shortly after vanillagrrl. I am sorry I do not remember the name of the WriMo whose husband has taken over her writing space both mentally and physically at home, so she had to come out to write. So glad she did!
