Seriously. Who are you and what were you thinking?!?

First person is the absolute worst way to write a quick-and-dirty story and here I am!

I guess it's going well enough so far, but man...there will be a bloody brick wall in my future. I just know it.

OOoh... I can definitely see that as daunting, but if you can pull that off it'll be epic.

GOOD LUCK!!!

I feel your pain. I started out in first person too. Right now I am writing nothing but dialog, then I am going to continue the writing in third. I will have my editing cut our for me that is for sure. I like writing in first, but you have to have the right story/character. Now I know. :)

Oh...hey, there!

I wondered who was calling me by my nickname. I was all "this person KNOWS me?!?" And then I figured out I could click on your name and find out it was you. ;-p

A talking magic mirror, huh?! And I thought I had it rough with my verbosely short-on-plot girl. I mean, I know there's a plot but this chick just monologues FOREVER.

A talking mirror. I DARE you to name the story "A Bit Of Self-Reflection."

Heehee! I was sneaky, wasn't I? (Though I didn't plan to be.)

Of course the mirror talks -- how else could it answer that infernal queen asking EVERY BLOOMIN' DAY, "Who is the fairest of us all?" Heh, heh!! (Can you imagine how irritating it must have been to work for her? And I wonder how the mirror came into her possession in the first place. And what on earth possessed the king to marry a witch [literally] like her!!??!!)

Love the title!! Don't think I'll go with it. But I could use some help coming up with one. I'll facebook ya.

I'm doing first person, but it has been pretty easy so far since the perspective is my own. And I'm basing my story about something that actually happened, so the POV for me is more about showing how I felt. Good luck to you though!

You could always...you know, not. Sometimes when doing stuff in first person I will do little breaks just to keep myself sane, where I go into third and show other characters, so you get a better whole picture.

Good luck to you which ever way you go.

I'm doing first person, and considering the only experience I've had doing first person have been in short stories, I think I'm doing a pretty good job. Don't worry too much! Just get into your character, and everything he/she's about, and it should go fine. If worst comes to worst, add another narrator. :)
