Well I have just done my writing for today, got an early start at work tommorrow ! I found this day much harder than day 1 and 2. At times I was flagging and wondering where the hell my story is going but I guess I'm feeling more positive now. I am just learning to stop thinking about editing and to stop overthinking it all too much. Just letting the story write itself as it goes along, if you like I'm writing by the seat of my pants.

How is everyone else faring today ?

Paul

Hey Paul.....its so hard to remember to just write isnt it? But thats the key.

I have been using the program called write or die to do my nano...it has cured my editing because it doesnt give me time to go back and correct anything :D

Day three is going well, I'm at 29k ish at the moment, going to try and knock out that last 1k before i go to bed though...shower first i think just to refresh my head if anything :D

I'm just shy of 10,000 words and have written just over 2,000 today, which is what I'm trying to get in in the early days when I don't have much homework/still feel positive about the story. Even though earlier I was a bit stumped with where I was going; just wasn't really sure what to write, and I was spending more time avoiding it, not doing anything, rather than writing.

Then I was told we were going out for tea, me and my family, and as soon as I turn the computer off, BAM. I suddenly want to write. So I grabbed a book and wrote about 400 words before going out, and then wrote the rest when I came back. Inspiration comes from the most craziest of places. XD I actually added in some stuff I didn't plan to, which is always nice when it works with the story. It's amazing how it does that, but it's great when it works out! :)

Hope everyone else is doing okay! Keep writing!

Well, I've barely hit 1500 words and I'm considering giving up or scrapping it for another idea. I dunno what's wrong with me this year! I blame being sick, and hope I can force myself to do better in days to come.

I had a long, hard day at work today and by the time I got home I just had enough time to grab something to eat before heading out to play darts. So all I managed to write today was a few hundred words on the bus into work this morning. But I'm happy with that. I always knew that Mondays and Tuesdays were going to be the most difficult days for me and I wouldn't get much done on those days.

The most important thing for me is that the creativity is there and that's really pleasing.

And tomorrow is the first write-in so hopefully I'll be able to continue my good work. Hopefully I can get some input from some of the other writers who turn up.

I'm pretty far behind my target if I want to hit 100k but I have a day off work tomorrow. If I can get a 10k day in ill be back on track. I'm not going to get much done today unfortunately, just scraps in these first few hours at work, and I'm not going to be able to make the write in. I'll get back on track, though, and hopefully make it to Kro next week.

*Raises hand* Haven't even started! I had a migraine-related med reaction so I've been in and out of bed sick. I have a handful of delirious scribbled notes, and... that's it. So I'm going to be skipping tonight's write-in, sadly, I'm still kind of loopy, but I'm hoping to see you guys next week, word-count in hand. This thing is not going to kick my arse!

Day 3 went ok-ish. I hit my word count so that's good.

Day 4 is pants. I had a really long lie in and now spending the day at uni researching dissertation and interviewing burlesque dancers. All my nanoing will have to happen at the write in... x
