I was just writing for the sake of writing this evening, and when I punched the numbers into the Excel spreadsheet, I was almost surprised to find out that my 12,343 is essentially 1/4 of the requisite 50K. It's Day 3 and I'm one quarter of the way done. Anyone else at the one quarter point? |

Yes! Just went over the 12500 mark (and a bit more)! This being my first NaNo, and only day 4, I'm rather pleased with myself, if also very tired and feeling like too little chocolate frosting spread over too much brownie...

Woo-hoo! I'm behind my own personal schedule, but seeing as I don't have nearly as much time to write as I thought I would, I feel like I'm doing pretty good. Though I can already tell that this book is going to be WAY longer than 50,000 words, so I want to pick up the pace and try to get as much done as possible this November.

Blew past it not far into my writing session and am now at 14,277. 1/4 done in four days, w00t! I ought to make 1/3 done tomorrow (or I suppose I should say today, since it's past midnight now), easy. I can't believe how fast I'm going!

Just slightly under as of last night, but I"m thinking positive and rounding up. I plan on being at 14K by the end of the day since I'll do my daily writing this evening. It's a good feeling. :)

Thanks Chocolate queen for this thread. It motivated me to move on from 12000 words where I was only a little while ago, to try to reach the magic quarter mark, and when I forced myself to sit down, all kinds of good unplanned words came tumbling out!
I'm really glad to be ahead, as I need to take lots of time off at the weekend
