I just signed up to do NaNo half an hour ago. Life had gotten hectic and I completely forgot before today. I don't even have a definite plot yet, only that I plan to write a YA Urban Fantasy.

Any words of encouragement and advice on finding that perfect plot would be appreciated!

You're not alone, don't worry! ;D Every single year quite a few NaNos start late!

The important thing is - you're extremly brave for even joining up late! Most people wouldn't ever dare take up such a task! And plus, at least you have a plot!

Have no fear, you can do this! If you have the will to consider writing 50k words at all, thne you certainly must have the drive to do it before the end of the month!!

GO NOW! WRITEOR I'LL PELT YOU WITH PENS, PAPER AND PENCILS AND VARIOUS OTHER AUTHOR-ISH PARAPHARNILIA!!

Yep, your certainly not the last person to start NaNo! Some people won't start until NEXT week for various reasons so you're fine!

Have platefuls of encouragement, you can totally catch up without any problems :)

I started two days late but I still feel like I'm doing pretty well. I mean sure, I don't have a lot of words but I still have a nice backround to my MC and I have introduce the other MC.
:D
Plus it's only the 4th day, you still have time to catch up!

Last year I started in the last quarter of NaNoWriMo. I was SO dissapointed in my web surfing abilities. Needless to say that I hadn't got much done, but I DID get a lot more done than I would have ever thought to. It doesn't matter how late you start, a story will always find you. The best that you can do is just keep typing. Good Luck and best wishes!

I only started today! I couldn't find any way to start, so I just did the 'Lone figure in the night' then just watched what developed under my hands.
SO long as you start writing, something will pop into your head. I already have a vague plot, just from writing the first few thousand words! ^_^
Good luck!

I started late, as well. We will just have to keep pushing ourselves to do more! I only have 2406 words, but, that is 2406 more words than when I started. SO, you can do this! Just put your hands on the computer and get the words out there.

And, there is a whole lot more writer type stuff that can be pelted your way, if you need them.
