I know the kickoff party was here in Walnut Creek, but I haven't seen anything involving write-ins or anything of that nature. This is unfortunate, because I'm already thousands of words behind.
There are roughly a dozen coffee shops here in the downtown area, and a couple diners, and... me. So what's the plan here, people! Let's do this! Inspirational speech! Training montage!

Some of us Walnut Creekers are posting in the Concord area forum. There is a plan to meet at La Scala Thursday evening. I can do 5-8ish; others want to start later and write until 11:00.

I would prefer to meet in Walnut Creek as well. I'll try to make La Scala Thursday evening, but I can't promise anything since i scribble away whenever the baby's asleep, and that usually doesn't fit with the time slot suggested.

There are now Sunday afternoon write-ins at La Scala in Walnut Creek if any of you can make them. They start at 1:00 pm and go through the end of November (check the East Bay calendar of events for more details).

We'll be extending the hours of this Sunday's write-in at LaScala in honor of making it halfway through the month, so there will be writers there from 11-4 if you're looking to stop in for some extra help, support, candy, and encouragement. Hope to see you there!

I'm planning to be at that midway party/write-in at LaScala tomorrow, but unfortunately, I won't be able to make it there until after 1 (though likely before 2). But as long as there will still be at least a few Nano-ers there between 1 and 4, I'll be there. =) Hoping to get a lot done... between getting hit by a cold last weekend and lots of other stuff going on this week, I've fallen WAY behind, so I definitely need to put some serious time in.
Hope to see some of you there! =)

I haven't managed to make it to any write-ins at all, but I'm coming to the halfway party for sure. Hopefully I can pull myself up by the bootstraps today so that my wordcount isn't too embarrassing come party time. Hell, I'm only twelve thousand words behind... no problem, right?

How was the halfway party at La Scala? I'm so bummed I couldn't make it, since my husband could babysit, but. I was sick and didn't want to get everybody else sick.
I'm in recovery mode now, so I'm pretty sure that I'lll be at La Scala this Sunday. Hope to see some of you there. (I have a red mini dell laptop).
BTW is anybody writing in another language than English?

The halfway party went well; we had a nice increase in word counts plus a visit from a reporter from KQED. I'm sorry we missed you last week!
I'm very bummed I can't make today's at La Scala, but the timing overlaps with when I need to leave for BART to get to the Night of Writing Dangerously tonight. I hope everyone who does attends gets a lot done! I'll be back with stickers (and the Bag of Doom if you dare try again) next week for our final push before the end of the month.
