I hosted a write in all day during Veteran's Day last year. It was successful enough (well, I wrote a lot) that I want to host another one this year. The Veteran's Day write in will be held on Wednesday, November 11th at 2701 Sutton Ct. (the same location as the Thursday night write ins). This will run from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm. I'll make some soup or stew to share and will have some warm or cold drinks available. I hope to see some of you there. Gene_O |

I'm not really sure -- I'm finding it difficult to plan that far ahead this month -- but I might be there. I'd most likely be there after normal business hours, but might be able to get there more morning-ish or midday-ish, depending on how the morning goes.

Well, with zomby heading the Moxie write-in for that night, I'll take my happy ML hat on over to the Veteran's Day write-in.
YOU! "Me?" you say. Yes, YOU. You should most definitely come to the Veteran's Day All-Day Write-In Extravaganza! We will have free munchables! I will personally bring cookies! COOKIES! We are the dark, evil side, and we shall prevail! I will be in attendance from roughly 5pm until 10pm, so that's FIVE FULL HOURS of awesome with me, CRASH! I mean, it's Wednesday evening. What else are you doing? That's what I thought.

It's looking increasingly likely that I'll be able to make it to the VD (har har) write-in, at some point during the day. The main question now is how early I can arrange to get there. As write-ins go, though, I quite like the idea of an annual Veterans Day write-in, so I'll make every reasonable effort to be there.

I've been here since noonish. Alas, I need to leave less than an hour from now (about 1630), and I don't know if I'll be able to get back before closing time at 2200 tonight. It turns out I have a conflicting engagement this evening.
My three and a half hours so far have been very productive, though. I finished off a chapter, wrote another entire chapter of close to 3K words, and sucked down a fair share of caffeine. I declare this event a winner, for me at least.

The first post in this forum thread includes the address for the write-in. There should be some kind of map for it in the little write-in schedule booklets that have been handed out at the kick-off write-in(s), because it's at the same place as the regularly scheduled Thursday write-ins.
