Hey guys! So this is my first year on Nano and I'm really excited! I've always been a lover of writing. From the moment I could write I'm pretty sure that's when this whole addiction started. I joined up on October 20th or so and I was SO eager to get started! So when November 1st finally got here I immediately began to block out everyone around me and just focused on my story. Sometimes it's hard to do, sometimes it's kinda scary! But, it's going to be so worth it by the end of the month. I personally don't have a life, so it wasn't hard for me to dedicate 23 of 24 hours to my work. I also set a personal goal for myself that I would have 25k before my birthday, which TADA, is today!

I just wanted to say that writing is wonderful and anyone who can take two sentences and start creating a story is an amazing and truly gifted person. If you're anything like me, you've refused to let go of your childhood imagination. Good! Don't! I'm rambling now and probably making you grumble with my odd perkiness. But alas, I just wanted to encourage you guys and let you know YOU CAN DO IT! I'm off to try and reach 30k now. Good luck!

It's nice to see someone who's so excited for NaNo! Congratulations on your wordcount of 30K and happy birthday! :D

Just a little shoutout here, 27K, at last! My goal for today was 28K, but now that I'm fairly certain I'll reach it, why not just go for the round 30K? ;)

Yay! Just passed the 27K mark and I'm really happy with myself, in 2007 (the last time I did NaNo) it took me til the 20th to get this far so I'm really impressed with my progress so far. I've made a deal with a friend that we're both going to have double out word counts by the 10th so I'm working towards 40K this weekend. XD

I got up early and wrote 2K in about an hour. Feels good! I'm aiming for 30K tonight, assuming that my other stuff doesn't get in the way ... but that's what coffee is for, right?

I don't think I have enough words in my notebook to get myself to 28k today... I might give it a go later if I get time.

27,099! And after all those days (other than the 1st) in which I wrote 2.5-5K words, this was only a 2K day (and in only 2 1/2 hours!). I'm now well into the second half. In fact, I skipped to the ending and wrote the climax...

And now, back to my normal furious pace...

Got it last night. I'd sure like to make 30K by the end of the day, but considering the other things I have to do today, it's not a realistic goal. I'll get there, though. Slow and steady. :)

I got to 27k just now. I'd love to make it to 30k tonight, but since I highly doubt I can make it than far, I think I'll aim for 28 or 29k.

Congratulations to everyone else who's made it!
