Hey everyone!
Ok, I live in Bethesda and am a little overwhelmed with trying to figure out which write-in group to attend. Any other Bethesda folks out there? I'm relatively flexible, but new at this, so it would be great to meet some fellow writers in the area.
Thanks!!!
Maddy

Hi Maddy,
I am in Bethesda too. I was looking at the Portrait Gallery write-ins, La Madeleine in White Flint, and the Dupont write-ins on Friday nights. But it would be nice to have something more local.
Should we organize something for Bethesda mid-week? Maybe the Starbucks at Woodmont Triangle, Wednesday night? I'm just throwing that out there, other locations and nights would be good too.

Hey Valerie,
Thanks for the response! The Dupont write-ins Friday nights sound good for me as well, actually, can you give me more info about the place and time for these? Thanks!
And yes, mid-week in Bethesda sounds fantastic. I've actually never been to the Starbucks at woodmont triangle (I recently moved here from California), but I'm up for wherever. The only coffee shops I've been to in Bethesda so far are Caribou Coffee, Cosi, and the one in Barnes and Noble (all which are great spots also :). Wednesday evenings work out well for me also. Would you want to go ahead and plan for next Wednesday, at that starbucks (I can look up the addess, or if you have it handy, please let me know! Unless you would rather hit up another spot instead), around 7 pm?
Thanks! Maddy

Hey guys! There are a ton of Maryland Write-Ins and events at the Maryland Forums. Overall, I probably spend more time in DC due to work, but I live in MD and plan to go to a few of their write-ins as well.
Hope this helps!

Maddy, the Dupont write-ins are at Caribou Coffee at the corner of 18th and M Streets, NW, 6pm to 8pm on the next three Fridays (not sure why not on the 27th, I guess people will be away). I'm not sure I will make any of them, now that I've taken a better look at my calendar. I have plans for two of the next three Fridays, but I'll try to make it on the 13th.
The Starbucks I was talking about is at 7700 Norfolk Ave. It's across the street from the Tastee diner, and across the "triangle" from the Burger Joint. Here's a map: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=7700+norfolk...
I'll make the post about it and pm krobin about adding it to the google calendar.
Tara, I've looked at the MD group's write-ins and have the calendar in my google calendar. I didn't see any in Bethesda. The closest (by metro) looks like it's in Shady Grove which is close to where I work but those write-ins are on weekends. I dunno, it's just as easy for me to take the red line to Dupont as it is to get to Shady Grove. Plus, my writing buddy (who hasn't been active on the forums yet) lives in Dupont, so I might try to get her to come out...

Hi ladies!
I live in DC, but work in Bethesda and would love to meet up after work. Tuesdays are a good day for me after 6:30 and Saturday afternoons, after 12:30. Let me know if you would be interested in either of those days. I work on Auburn Ave. so that Starbucks or Caribou would be great!
Thanks!
Meg

I'm in Bethesda too. I'd participate in a mid-week Bethesda write in.

Here's the post about the Wednesday write-in: http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/node/3419490
Meg, I could probably do Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Should we add Tuesday? I noticed there aren't any write-ins for those nights on the DC calendar...

I will be around on the 27th and would be happy to do Caribou Coffee near Dupont that day, even though I am off from work, if anyone else is interested in joining me.
(My mom cancelled Thanksgiving this year b/c she's going to FL for a cousin's wedding, so we have no plans ... which is fine by us.)

eskelly, I just saw your post in the thread for that write-in and responded there. I stay in DC for Thanksgiving, so I'm around and would be interested in attending the Dupont write-in on 11/27.

Two of us are thinking about a Sunday afternoon write-in 2-4pm at the Barnes & Noble on Bethesda Avenue & Woodmont. Anyone interested?

I'd be interested in meeting with yall tomorrow, 2 to 4 (and maybe longer), at the Barnes and Noble in Bethesda. I'll be there with a white macbook, and I'm a petite woman with wavy brown hair :). Looking forward to it!

As it turns out, I can't make it to B&N this afternoon, but my daughter -- Jessica -- will be there. She has a silver Dell, is tall with long blonde hair.

Valerie (and any others interested!)
I would love to do a write-in on Wednesday after 6:30. Starbucks or Caribou on Woodmont? I don't know if I can do every Tuesday, but this Tuesday would be great.
Let me know!

I just realized I said Wednesday in that post, and I meant Tuesday. So, Tuesdays would be great after 6:30 if anyone else is up for it!
Sorry about that.
