anyone else too distracted by the World Series to get any real writing done since 11/1? anyone else too depressed today to consider writing? or, anyone else have that voice in the back of their head that says 'well, at least i have my life back now'?
just me? really?
last year my MC was a huge Phillies fan who wrote a Nano. this year i'm writing about teenage witches. maybe i should stick to what i know?

meh. the sun came up, the tide came in, i'm pretty sure a baby was born somewhere. you (plural) will get over it. at least take solace in the fact that the team you like is NOT the one with the needles full of racehorse drugs jammed into their thighs when they come out of the dugout.

A little bit. But I don't have to go to class or anything today, so at least I don't have to deal with other depressed people.
I think I'll make it through. One problem though: my MC is a Yankees fan (sorta important to the plot that she's a New Yorker who likes baseball, as she lives in a small Texas town obsessed with football). Is it weird that I kinda hate her right now?

Nah, I just wrote the whole thing into my story. You can easily write 2,000 words about 1) your main character's annoyance about riotous fans, or 2) the riotous fandom of your main character! ;)

make her a mets fan- we hate them, too, but they're not evil.
