Those of you who attended the central Meetup heard be talk about it. It's on the website. It's been hinted at here and there. Time for the official announcement!
Next Saturday (November 14th), I am going to be running an overnight write in a the SE Grind Coffee Shop in SE Portland! The suggested hours are 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM from Saturday the 14th to Sunday the 15th. I will bring stickers, a small number of Google Wave invites, and lots of enthusiasm and energy!
If you have questions, post them here! If you're planning to attend, say so! If you have a bunny friend who will bind and gag you until you agree, agree and then tell us about your experiences as a bunny captive.
Hoping to see you there!

A wave invite? I'll have you know that I am not above begging. Or bribing. Really I'm not. I purchased my gmail invite back in the day using MMORPG currency.

Oh I certainly hope I can be there. My plans are to make it. Keep trying to get to The Grind, and keep missing it. As to the wave thing, just now trying to figure it all out myself. Maybe I should watch the video's on it..lol, NO back to writing...I'm behind today, looks like it will be a power writing weekend.

I really don't have an excuse NOT to be there. SE Grind is only probably ten minutes from my house.
I'm definitely going to try to make it, at least for several hours. I'd love to meet some other Portland NaNo-ers!

Well, I work Saturday night till 8:30 then I work on Sunday starting at 10AM. I think I will come after work, have something to eat, write an hour or two then I will have to depart. Sounds like fun. That is the plan right now. I do reserve the right to change my mind. :)

I'll be there. Are we supposed to RSVP...cause I am. :) Otherwise I might just sneak back in bed. But now I've said I'm coming. I don't have a bunny. I have a monkey, that hangs with me as I write. He "disposed" of the bunny, and won't tell me where or even admit to the dirty deed. To chastise him, I will make him wear a pair of bunny ears :)

I am truly hoping to come as my word count is dangerously low and I am sure hanging out with the likes of all of you, I will write pure enchanting prose at lightning speed! Okay, I just want to know what a Google wave invite is...I am so pitifully out of it...
Can anyone give me directions from Gresham? I actually live in the Gorge but know my way around pretty well. Just need to know the major streets to look for. Thanks in advance.

I have to work both days, but I'll try to join in for a while...most likely early in the morning before work...assuming I'm still welcome at these things.

I've never been to The Grind. Does anyone know if they serve Chai? Just need to check as I would probably feel slightly awkward sporting starbucks into another coffee shop, but I need my Chai :) And Tazo is local, and the only kind I like thus far. I'm usually up for trying new tea though as long as the shop sells some.

I'll be there! I am so far behind on my word count, I need a place where I can be surrounded by like-minded freaks. :)
Granted, I won't be able to stay until 8AM because I do have an obligation Sunday @2pm and will need my rest. But I plan on writing until I can write no more!!
I'll be wearing my NaNo Hoodie with merit badges and carrying HOP, my one-armed pirate plot bunny. So, yeah, I'll be kind of obvious. *snerk*
See you all tonight!
P.S. I 'll also be bringing my 6ft ext. cord / surge protector / 6 outlets so we have extra to spare.

I will almost certainly be coming and bringing along my younger brother is part of the YWP. (Sounds like a cool code name doesn't it?)
Nibo? How early do you suggest arriving to make sure we get a spot an outlet? My brother's laptop only lasts an hour on battery (and that's when fully charged) so we will certainly need an outlet spot. I am hoping you have an idea of how many people to expect, so that way I know when to show.
Thanks! And it looks as if this event is going to be fantastic!

I had been trying to figure out if I could go to this, but my hubby made the choice for me. He's my ride if I have to go out east, and he'll be working massive overtime until 10pm. There's no way he'd drive my bum out there after a hell shift. So I must bow out of midnight writing and satisfy my sweet tooth at Panera's Sunday afternoon.

I'm thinking about it. It sounds like lots of fun, and goodness knows I need to spend some time getting caught up, but I didn't get much sleep last night, so I'm not sure I'd last very long... Also, it's a little out of my normal stomping ground - I'm pretty hooked on writing at the local tea house.
We'll see how I feel in a couple of hours.
