Hello. I'm new, and this is my first NaNoWriMo. So far I've been anticipating week two and three fatigue, so while I'm still giddy I'm writing more than I need. I'm a younger teenager, and my no means average. I'm not at all popular or stylish or anything, but I like theater, languages and textile crafts and, of course, writing.
I'm in Davis. Who else is?
:)

I'm no longer a teenager and I don't live in Davis either, but as you can see, I'm a WriMo too! *hehe*
I guess I'm average, but that doesn't mean I'm not weird...but since everyone is weird, then you could say I'm normal and the normal ones are those who are truly weird. If you understood what I just said then you fall under the normal-weird category as well :D
I have a love for languages myself, though. I've taken several classes of French and Japanese, and I took one of German.
----------Je vois que tu parle français, c'est vrai? (J'ai appris le français au lycée) BAH my French is out of practice.
I like to beat Writer's Block in the head with a fire extinguisher!

Nice to meet you! I found out there are write-ins in davis. It seems like no davisites responded, but if you're a davisite and reading this, what are write-ins like?
prinz--BJDs are cool! I don't have one, but I like pullips.

Yep, I understood that :) I'm wierd, and a nerd, but I embrace it, take it in stride. What else is there to do, after all?
----------Oui, je parle Francais. C'est ma 3eme anee de le prendre au lycee. Il y avait un forum francais ici, pour les nano-ers francais, et je l'aime lire pour de la pratique.

Oh! I didn't know that! I'll have to go check that forum out, practice is always good :P
----------French classes are fun, I miss it. I've taken the equivalent of two semesters of university-grade French :D and my favorite word to say is and probably always will be, iPod (with French accent). That and OMD! (oh mon dieu)

*late reply*
Hi, I'm sorry, I just now saw this. A little late....
Well, anyway. I'm not in Davis, but I'm a teenager too. (And in French 3, so I actually understood the French in the comments :D) Oh, I guess that would imply that I'm a junior. I'm not, I'm a freshman. Heh. But, you're not alone. I'm out in Carmichael, but... we're all in this together, now aren't we? :)

Hi fishy! I like your name. I had pet fish once. Unfortunately, they died pretty soon. But, ahem!
----------I'm a freshman, too, actually. And yay french!
Yep, we're all in this together. *obnoxious HSM song plays in head*

Another local freshman! I thought I was the only one. Well I'm, personally, way behind.... being in high school while doing this isn't easy. But hopefully I'll catch up over Thanksgiving.

That's it... I'm learning a foreign language. At least I understood some part of "good practice".
By the way, this is my first time to NaNoWriMo too. I'm technically a teenager (19), but don't live in Davis. I hardly think "not average" would describe writers perfectly-- "crazy", "masochistic", "closet entertainers", maybe. So see? You're normal here, haha.
I think I should stop procrastinating and go write now, lol.
----------I write because the world must know these following phrases the way I do:
Piranha Kitten
The Noys
Sand Fleeter
Devion Guide
PROT Guide
Dabble Quencher
Fat Mouse
The Anti-Muse
Devious
and others...

Allo! Bon jour!!
Welcome to NaNoWriMo!!!
I'm a mom, not YOUR mom, of course, but as a mom.. I tell my kids?
Don't be a penquin! (DON"T look or sound like everyone else!)
Don't BE OATMEAL!!! (if everyone HAD to eat only oatmeal for breakfast, the day would start out very dull indeed!)
Life is not a dress rehearsal, this is your only go round
be every color that you can be!! Say yes to LIFE!!! and everything in it!!
The friends I had back then, (as a teen) were my friends because of similar interests (music, books, films, etc)
NOT because of the tags on my clothes and so on. & 20+ yrs later we are still friends!!
Embrace Diversity!!! Encourage individuality!!!
Hooray for the human race!
Keep yer chin up!!! your pencil sharp! and let your mind free!
Here is wishing you the very best on your writing this month!!
p.s.... some people that were most likely NOT popular in their schools?
----------Tesla, Einstein, Bill Gates, .. get the idea?
people that follow their own path will have an amazing wonderful life, & succeed.. the rest of the flock.. .just flock...

Ehhhh... my oatmeal has raisins, cranberries, sliced almonds and brown sugar in it... I could have that every day!
:P

I prefer dinner items for breakfast
(dine like a KING in the morning, a PRINCE at lunch & a PAUPER at night)
My hubby freaks if all I want is cold cereal for dinner.. .. what...ever...
but.... I could live on maple brown sugar flavored oats.
....my kid? eh? ... teenagers....
but if 6 billion around the world could ONLY eat one cup of plain steel cut oats... wow....
would get kinda boring if everyone was the same, dressed the same, sounded the same
(any reference to Twilight Zone episodes?)....
diversity is the key!! to each his own!!!
flavor & spice is the beauty of life!!!
add it alllllll in there!!!
(big smiles!!)
:D
