Okay I'm going to be home watching my child a good portion of today and tomorrow and I won't have much writing time Sunday. So I need to get caught up. I'm at 4800 words and I should be around 13600 by Sunday (I rounded to 1700 a day). I figure I have 20 hours of good writing time.
So I took what I had left (9200) and divided that by 20. That leaves me with 460 words an hour and I'll round up to 500. By the end of Sunday I'll be 800 words up.
I can do 500 an hour! Go the push with me for our first weekend!

try warring with yourself or others you might find online (or at a write in if you can get to them). you write as fast as you can for a set amount of time. i can usually do 500+ in 15 minutes. and the competition is fun. even if you're doing it alone see if you can beat your previous time, always setting the bar higher. you'll make your word count much quicker.

I force myself to work in serious five minute pushes. I set the clock and write as fast as I can. I've found that I can write a good 150-250 words in five minutes. Do this for an hour and you'll find your wordcount go up insanely fast.
