We're nearing the end of week 1. The new car smell of our novels is starting to wear off, and we're realizing that maybe we were crazy to decide to do this. Life didn't quite take the backseat you told it to, maybe something unexpected has come up.
Well, I just wanted to take a minute to tell you all that you are doing *fantastic!* I am so proud of everyone in this region. Just this week alone, we've written over 460,000 words! That is incredible.
Is this whole process easy? No. Some days, we don't have the time, or the words get stuck in our head. But each one of us has written more words creatively this week than a lot of people will ever do! You're all doing amazingly well, and the weekend is just about here now (hurrah!).
Keep plugging away at those words. Find someone and do some 15 minute word sprints. You can do it. Your three illustrious MLs believe in you.
In particular, if there is anything I can help you with, please don't hesitate to ask! I may not have a good answer, but if I have to I'll make one up. ;)
Have a great weekend, everybody!

15 minute word spurts! Great idea!
Thanks for the encouragement. My novel pretty much is doo-doo right now. I feel like starting over. But I won't. Nope. I'll press on. And hopefully it'll turn into something.

The great thing about thinking your novel is doo-doo - it gives you a whole lot of freedom to try things that you might otherwise be too afraid to do with a "good" novel.
Throw in a random character? Pffft, why not. Doesn't matter, right? Try writing a fight scene with a blind monk and a princess? Sure!
You never know what gems you'll walk away with, even if you don't think things look good now. But kudos for trucking on!
