1. I teach, teaching is hard on the nerves as it is. I had a student loose her dad this week.
2. The world I build hasnt been working because all I see is this little girl sitting on the couch in more pain than I can fathom.
3. Is it too late to write her story I wonder......
3. Nano boards deleted my previous post that was much better......

Is it to late to switch? I feel more passionate about the other story right now but it is a week in.

I have stopped some stories in the past and moved onto something else that was better suited to my thoughts at teh time. Stopping and moving onto something else is sometimes best and all things written count toward the goal but I think the child story will end up meaning more to you than a word count.

Each word is one more toward what you began to do this month, what words used are up to you to choose.

I think it's okay to switch topics, but I would encourage you not to, but rather to incorporate her story into yours. This is my first year participating in the WriMo, but, for me, part of the fun is trying to link two things that may not go together. This is the opportunity to write the most crazy and elaborate thing you choose, and it doesn't even have to make sense.

I would say try to combine the stories.

I switched stories earlier on, but that was back on Monday. I ended up deleting around 2,000 words, and it was painful. In the end, it depends on if you think you have time to make up all those words. By the end of the day, we should be around 11,669.
