I never noticed before, but if you click on "Writing Buddies" under "My NaNoWriMo" (not just the tab, but the link to the left of your main page) there is a list of who you are a "Buddy Of." I had always wondered if I missed the little red note above when someone adds me as their buddy, and if maybe I was missing potential buddies. Turned out I was only missing one.
