Are all the New Hampshire WriMos sleeping in today? That seems to be...I wasn't expecting to have to start this thread, but I am pleased to. Haven't started writing yet. Just arrived at a "private" write in with a buddy. We're going to knock out a bunch of words and watch the 6 hour BBC "Pride and Prejudice" with Colin Firth (swoon). Should be a great day.

I did sleep in! Till 7 a.m.! The day was half shot before I got out of bed. Anyway, after a week of little to no writing, I got caught up to where I should have been yesterday plus a little. What a relief to know that I can still get this done. Today and tomorrow I'll try to get ahead, because I'm sure work will make me crazy at some point next week.

Over 1000 words in so far today. That's not bad for a Saturday for me. Taking a break now to help hubby grind some meat for sausage, and fold some laundry. Looking to get a good bit done by dinner time!

Write on, write on!

Been battling a headache/vague feelings of illness since I got out of work at 11, but a scene just figured itself out for me, so hopefully I can put away another day's worth to stay ahead by one. I'd ideally like to hit 14k today, but I won't be greedy if it doesn't go.

I managed to lose about a thousand words do to various, um, operator errors with my computer. Still not sure how I saved the wrong draft or whatever I did. Ah well. Back up over five thousand now.

Going to find out what I can produce in an hour or hour and a half of nothing but writing and then give the tendonitis a break.

Still a lot of apprehension about fifty thousand words by the end of the month, but at least this year I decided to ignore all of the excuses I have come up with in the past and take a shot.

2061 in today, to bring me to 14, 579

Not bad, not bad. Things are going pretty well. I even discovered, when my lead detective went home last night, that he has a cat. Didn't realize that till the cat jumped up on the back of the sofa. The things you find out about your characters as the go along, huh?

I'm sitting at Popover's in Portsmouth right now with my NaNo-participant boyfriend, and we've been talking to two women who had never heard of NaNo before for at least an hour now. It's been so much fun to tell them about the wonders of writing a novel in a month! I think that one of them is going to participate this year!

I broke the 13k mark tonight. Not bad! I'm trying my darndest to write a full 10,000 words by the end of the weekend. Wish me luck!

----------

My first year participating in NaNoWriMo.
Day 24 of 30.
79% of the month is completed. 80% of my novel is completed.
I have ingested about 6 GRAMS(!) & 357.8 mg of caffeine.
I have ingested about 15 alcoholic beverages.
Next goal: 50k by November 26
