The title says it all. In the Give and Take a prompt thread I can't post more than the first line of text that I want to put up. This has never happened to me before and I don't know what to do about it.

Are you putting any html into your post that's not working?

No, just text and that's it. And it won't show up.

It appears that you're using multiple < characters. These are a code that says, "don't display this stuff."

Don't use those and your entire post will show up.

I don't understand what you mean. Using < symbols? The only time I use those is if I want something in italics, I don't use them by themselves.

You do use them by themselves. You use them for emoticons and you used them in the prompt you "took" and included in your post. Push those together and the language of code things you've put something into a container.

Here's what you posted (I'm using full HTML to show you, as a regular user you can't do this) and I had to add spaces into the long trails of greater than/less than in order to get them to show up:
Taking:

"Time flowered slower than Alice's fall into Wonderland." < < < changed that one a little
Well, isn't that ironic?'.
..the result was something that smelled almost, but not quite, like misery and brimstone.
The proof is in the pudding. No, really--don't eat that.
"He has this power that makes you completly lose yourself when you look in his eyes"
It had gotten to the point where I was scared of my reflection.
"Well, why don't you just go drown in your pool of tears and loneliness."
She realized then that she was completely blind.
"Mmmm...scrumptious shrimp scampi..." she swooned, as she forked another succulent morsel between her glistening lips.
"I spent the morning standing by the toilet, choking down a muffin."

Leaving:

She was dizzy and in pain, her lungs throbbing as she moaned on the couch.
Hot feet really aren't that sexy.
"I NEED. A HAIRCUT. DO YOU NOT SEE THIS?!"
I never get anything I want to get done when I come home. It's like the forces of the universe want me to be a poverty stricken hobo.
The vaccine killed her with the very disease it was meant to prevent.
"Good morning beautiful."
Thanks for waking him up.

C1: "You know that if this works out she'll be your Mother-In-Law."
C2: "We're trying not to think about that."

"What should we name him?"
I miss you, even though I promised I wouldn't.

Edit: ....why is only the first line of this post showing up? >___>

Anyway, just be careful with those symbols - use parentheses instead.
