Alrighty! We're in week 3 people which means we need just as much writing as relaxing and hopefully we can squeeze both into this weekend!

Stina and I have been talking and discussing and we've come up with a New Plan for the write-in this weekend. We're going to make it part Meet Up. How good is that? We've noticed that the short time at the end of a write-in isn't really enough for some people and three hours of writing is too much for some, me for one! This weekend we'll be at the same fab place, the same fab time but with a few changes! Read on, Wrimos!

Where: State Library on North Terrace
Date: Saturday, 21st of November
Time: 2pm
Map/How to get there:A short walk from the train station. Just head up the ramp, turn left, and continue walking past Parliament House. It's next to the museum with the fancy fountains and boggins of pigeons out front.

Photobucket

Details: There's plenty of parking within a short walking distance of the library. You'll need to look around to find the cheapest but it's all similar on a Saturday.

We'll be outside the library around 1:45pm and we'll wait there till 2pm and then head inside. If it's raining (LOL rain in adelaide) we'll be huddled just outside the library or just inside the doors. Look for people trying to talk someone out into the rain. If it's not raining we'll be near the grassy area out the front. You can't miss my leering.

I'll be bringing an extension lead with me and a powerboard but I would appreciate if someone has one free that they could bring it along just in case.

Now, with the way we're doing things this week, we're hopefully going to head in and find some furniture to monopolise. If we can't find any furniture we could head to the cafe for a while or to find somewhere else, maybe the floor or a nice rug. People can head into the cafe however they've indicated that having people on their laptops for long periods of time is not something they want so we'll work around that.

Since we won't be in the library itself we can bring lollies and goodies and our drinks into the area we'll be using. Bring your munchies and your hot chocolate/iced chocolate money for the cafe if you wish.

I can't wait for this write-in/meet up. It will be something different, new and please be patient if we need to sort out details on the day. ;)

ok so im kinda happy that im the first to reply so WOO!
but i really want to come to these but, you see the thing is im really not a very confident person and imnot good with meeting new people, also im only fourteen and that freaks me out too.

also i cant get a laptop, i mean i could use dad's but he's all 'no! you'll break it!' and i was like 'i think my nano story is a bit more important than that' but he just walked away so yeah. but my main thing is the confidence part. ok i know im weird and its a stupid thing because peole are actually really nice and blah, blah, blah i've heard it all before i just cant even if i really, really, REALLY, want to!

oh well. xx

I should be there...Please don't leer at me. You can be quite unnerving. Hoping to borrow a laptop too so I don't have to hand write. If I hand write it then I'll end up reading and thinking about how bad it is and then breaking the fire ban to burn it all.

I'll see everyone there.

No need to leer. You'll recognise us. You can join in on the leering.

I can make this one!

And I'm coming with a friend from school, if our parents say it's ok!

Wheeee! I can't wait!

Though my laptop is full of fail

How long is it?

I will most likely be there. :D Sorry I piked out of last week's one. It was way too hot. :P And if I time it correctly, it is quite possible that I shall be writing my 50,000th word there for my first ever NaNo win!! That would be exciting. XD

I'll try to be there. I'm currently a little -stalled- in my story atm, so maybe it'd do me good? *shrug*

I think I'll make this one. Saturdays are fine for me.

I'll be the one with the notebook who's fretting over the outline of second half of NaNovel.

And maybe I'll be leering. ;)

I really like that leering has caught on. Once you've tried it you'll decide it's a great way to get peoples' attention!

Well as much as I would love to come, I have my birthday party on Saturday... so I think I will be stuck here preparing and doing silly things like cleaning.

ummm, I'll be 400 kms away, so no, sorry, I won't be there. That's not the reason I'm posting though, I was just wondering if there was anything currently in the works for next weekend, i.e. the fourth weekend in nano? If there is, and it by chance happens to be on a sunday, I can be there, but I kind of would like to know at least a something before say thursday, because I need to plan my Adelaide exit strategy. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I'm hoping to get something planned for Saturday night/Sunday. I'd like to organise something to complement the write-in on Friday night to make it as though we've got extra write-ins that final weekend. Whatever we decide I'll make sure it's up before Thursday. Hopefully Wednesday at the latest. :D

Oh, good. I was going to ask the same question.
I'll be coming up to Adelaide on Friday, and staying until Monday at the shortest, as I have an interview that day. I don't know yet whether or not I'll be able or allowed to attend (although I am 18 and recently graduated so I can't see why not), but I would love to. I really need to catch up on my novel. I wrote about 4.5K yesterday, but only about 500 today (but only because I just graduated tonight YAAAAY!), but at only 20K this far into it, it's not looking good.

I think I might be a bit further than 400 kms away. I'm like, really close to the border of Victoria/South Australia. But I am in SA. :)

I feel so guilty. After we finished, instead of going home straightaway, I went to the train station, sat on the floor, and wrote for 40 minutes. Because you know, I didn't feel like catching the train that was already there.

But I managed to get 3K done today!
