We had the Kick Off at Cici's Pizza that went over very well, I think everyone had a good time.

We have had some ideas for things, one is going to another Buffet somewhere, going to Buffalo Wild Wings and to do Roberto's Mexican somewhere.

Any other ideas are good.

I know lots of people are hoping for Friday the 4th of Dec... sounds good to me, once again, any problems with this, let us know.

Well pros and cons of above listed.

Pros of a Buffett or Roberto's -- everyone has seprate checks,
BWW - fun - yummy wings

Cons of BWW - if we do it on a Friday anyone under 18 or 21 (not sure of each locations policy) has to be out by a certian time and during football season having it on a Sat or Sun is a BAD idea, and no sep checks
Buffet or Roberto's some people don't like those places, Roberto's they can be kind of small

So any ideas please pitch them and help us plan the Thank Goodness It's OVER party... so we can start planning next year at this party!!!!

I'm open for anway, but do think we need to make sure there is not an age restriction or curfew for those not 21 anywhere we go.

CiCi's is good..as is Robertos, but then again I also like BWW. Yeah I know not lots of help

Okay the 4th (friday) has some request not to be that night, what about Sat or Sun the 5th (yeah my dad's b-day doesn't affect anything since he's in florida) or the 6th?

I cannot do Saturday the 5th, but Sunday is okay.
Also, I think I left my surge protector at Leah's house. Could I get that back at the TGIO party?

Yeah I can bring it. I have the surge protector all tucked away safe and sound. Just please shoot me and email the day before to remind me to grab it. I am one who forgets everything if not reminded..

I am thinking the 5th or 6th might be the best time, mid afternoon, and somewhere we can just hang out and talk, and not spend a lot. I know everyone liked Cici's, but maybe a different buffett would be good for lunch, I know somebody (sorry I forgot who) said they worked at the East Side Cannery and their buffett is good.

Please start adding some input or Leah and I will just have to pick somewhere...

I like the idea of the Cannery- it's fairly centralized with easy 95 access.

I'd like it if it were on the northside but I suppose if it wasn't I'd still be able to convice my dad to take me so it's not that big of a deal I guess.....

I'm partial to a buffet or a get your own food and then sit down kind of place. Then you don't have to worry about the splitting up the bill or someone always ending up screwed at the end. A buffet type place is also less likely to give us the evil eye if we sit there for a long amount of time talking.

Any day is fine with me, but if it's a weekend I have a suggestion. Most buffets don't close anymore to switch from one meal to the other. So, for example, if you have a buffet that has lunch until 4 and then does dinner, if you go at 3:30 you pay the much cheaper lunch price but then get to benefit from the much better dinner menu. (I've never been to the Cannery, but I've done this trick at Santa Fe, a buffet I like and is also right off of 95. Dinner time usually has shrimp, which is cause for a happy dance.)

*Waves at everyone*

I am the one who works at the eastside cannery..if we want to do it there let me know on what day and at what time..so i can let the gals know in the buffet so they can set aside a table area for us...it is really good food, for cheap and if you have a can club card you get another dollar off..i belive they shut down between dinner and lunch i will double check, we arent to busy on the weekends, so its good no matter what time we go..if anyone needs rides let me know and i can pick people up..

I was thinking since we did the Kick Off party on the North side, we should be nice and do the TGIO party on the South side (okay the East Side Cannery isn't really SOUTH, but it's not NORTH either)

I say this is a good idea.

I figured by the 30th we should have this planned and have RSVP by Dec 3 (next thursday) so we can make sure we can get in as a group.

I figured a late lunch/early dinner might be good. Plus I think (correct me if I'm wrong) if we have a couple of people under 21, they can go in at the cheaper price if someone with a card buys for both of them, so we'd just make sure we have two people pay together, (it's not hard to hand over your X number of bucks to someone to pay for two at once)

Plus the buffet nobody has to worry about the check at the end, no worries about who owes what!!! (If we do this, please make sure to bring an extra buck if possible to leave a tip for the wonderful staff who busses our tables and bring us more drinks)

What's everyone think????

by Monday at 8P we need to know what day is best, next Sat or next Sunday (the first weekend in Dec)

I am leaning towards Saturday, because I know most buffets are brunches on Sundays and those are a couple of bucks more.

After I get home from work on Monday (the 30th) we will state what day it is then give Kathe time to find out what time is best for that day and we will need an RSVP by next Thursday (a week from today)

Talked to buffet today, and they are brunch all weekend..so buffet is open from 11am to 8pm. It is 11.99 plus tax, but if you have a can club card it is only 9.99. So just let me know the info and i will pass it along to the buffet manger...

And hi, I haven't posted here before because I forgot.

here's my problem: the location is excellent for me but:

1) I work 3-11 and couldn't go to an evening event
2) I work weekends.

I can try to get a shift trade for either saturday or sunday, I just need some advance warning which it will be. But if there's any way this could be, oh, wednesday or thursday, that would be even better. Darn casino working hours.

we were planning on doing a brunch at a buffet at one of the casinos (probably East Side Cannery) which means I would want to start it at about 11A and go til people give up and go home. So you probably could still go. Plus it looks like we are planning on doing it on Sat, I will know by the end of the weekend.

As far as I can tell, I really think that we should do Sunday not only because a lot of people have things planned on Saturdays, but also because businesses tend to be busier on Saturdays and so a Sunday would be less crowded.

oh yeah, if it starts at 11ish I can definitely make it. Especially if it's at the Eastside Cannery, since I live like a block and a half away :-) but as long as it's down this part of town it'll be no problem.

That way I don't have to beg someone for a shift trade. I like that idea.

OK I talked to the manger, the price for everyone with players cards, and anyone under 21 can hop on board with someone tat does, is $10.80. That’s with tax...now for a party of 8 or more, there is an 18 percent tip thing. But am going to talk to Christine and see if I can get that waved for us. , however if everyone can bring in like 5 bucks or so for a tip that would be awsome.

I also need the total number of people by tuesday please? Thanks

I also checked in to Boulder Station which is rght up the street, its the same price with a boarding pass (AKA Player's club card) but from what I can see there is no extra for parties of 8 or more. So we can go there instead if you guys want too.

I like the idea of the cheaper place (no extra 18 % for tip) Boulder Station. I can get there early either day and get a players card. I would rather Sat due to I know a few people do have church on Sunday and can't get out of that.

Anybody have any problems with moving it to Boulder, and I can call them/go by and see if we set a side an area when we have a number.

So by Thursday at 5P we need you to RSVP, if you do not, I can not promise we all can sit together. Plus let's make sure everyone who is over 21 gets a players card to save the cash!!!!

And I know we have a couple of under 21's we can just have them jump in with someone over 21!

Please state Sat or Sunday by Monday night, majority wins... If you do not vote, that just means less chance of your day being picked (I like Sat for the church going folks)

Also Please state which location (Boulder does sound better bc no 18% added in, but remember please bring an extra dollar or two for tip. Which is very normal amount of a tip for a buffet and nice for the waitstaff who gets stuck waiting on us fun writers)

Okay the count down has started to the end of Nano and of course to vote. I am accepting the RSVPs from above, but if you find out the day we are doing it is NO BUENO for you, just let me know.

Happy Writing to all, and to all a good night!!!
