Hey all this is my third year to participate, and I did finish both the other years. I think it would be a blast to do some write-ins, get togethers, even maybe workshop stuff with everyone else. My biggest issue is that I have four little kids at home and my wife works evenings. I am in Edniburg and am very willing to do something at my house at some point. Any takers?

If no one here has an answer I have to contact the Burnet County Sheriff's office and I am not real excited about making that call.

Basically, what happens when a shallow grave is discovered in the woods? When the body has been there for awhile? I'd like to know the time frame, who is called in, who does the investigation, who examines the remains and what is the time frame for all this? Since it is surely a suspicious death, would the FBI be called in? What would that look like?

Who strings up the yellow tape or is that just on TV?

I almost did it last year, but I was out of town for the first week of November so I didn't. So I guess technically I'm a newbie and the Writing Buddies tab on my profile page is depressingly empty since I have no writer friends. That won't stop me, but it would be nice to compare myself to someone else's word count since I'm fiercely competitive and that might motivate me! At any rate, if there's anybody out there, please come say hi!

Hey everyone! I'm Laura. This year, I am hoping to finally meet some fellow WriMo's! :) This here is a thread to introduce yourselves. I want to know some about my local WriMo's.

I'm new to the area of San Marcos, and here that San Martian WriMo's often meet at the Coffee Pot...? Hopefully we can get some group meetings set up soon. November is almost upon us.

I'm a freshman at TSU, and it's my third year to do NaNo. I'm super excited, but also quite nervous about running out of time to write (or falling behind in my homework...). I'm hoping all will go well, and dreaming of a third win. :)

I'm not quite sure what I'm going to be writing this season. I'm trying to decide if I can possibly go through with doing a novel I've been trying to write for years and years. Even after years of brainstorming and writing random broken scenes, the plot is still being constantly changed. (Two weeks ago I began to consider completely changing the cast list.) If I can work out the plot for my novel within the next month, I hope to write this nameless novel. (Hopefully I'll have names by then too.... For about six years, since I first started thinking this story up, I've been using initials and "working names.")

So...how about you? Name? NaNo years and wins? Novel info? I want to know about everyone else.

Hope you're planning to attend our kick-off tonight, starting at 11 o'clock with a chance to meet each other before we settle down to our laptops. It will be at Avenue L Coffeehouse, which is located at 2514 Sam Houston Avenue, across the street from 2nd Baptist Church, between Sonic and McDonald's, at the end of the long building that starts with the doughnut shop. There will be coffee and snacks for free and soft drinks by donation. There's also free Wi-Fi, too. Hope to see everyone from this area that can make it tonight.
