Excerpt: In The Fire

She was standing there with the man she knew this time as Hadrian as well as the same Brown haired female who was around her age as before. She gave Gemma a small smile.

"So you think we're ready for tonight, Gemini?" She questioned Gemma found herself opening her mouth but this time it wasn't to ask what was going on like she wanted to she said something completely different.

"Course I am, I mean you don't get to save the world every damn day do you?" Gemma gave a wild grin. The girl in front nodded and Hadrian smirked.
Hadrian and the brown haired female shared a look and Gemma narrowed her eyes in some confusion (well Gemma was at least glad that there was confusion here as well as in the whole bloody room. Because she was more than confused. She just wanted to know what the hell was going on and where was Sasha and Will when she needed them?

"What is it?" Her voice asked instead. The brown haired female gave a some what reassuring smile.

"It's nothing Gem, everything's fine." It was a look of disbelief this time and Gemma wasn't even sure as to how she knew her face was even portraying these. She just inwardly shook her head and hoped that her brain would some how catch up so she could figure this out.

"Bull. Something's up." She stated bluntly, "What aren't you telling me?"

"Gemini, believe me it's nothing. We'll save the world and everything will be better okay?" The brown haired girl was now fiddling with her boots nervously while Gemma studied her, then knowing she wasn't going to get anything out of her she turned to Hadrain.

"What's going on, Hadrian." She questioned immediately and out of the corner of her eye she noticed the brown haired girl give Hadrian a pleading look, "Do I have to go and ask Urban?" She questioned and an eep was heard from the female.

"It's nothing. You know that Toshina's going to be doing the saving right?" Gemma nodded and inwardly she was wondering who was Toshina?

"Of course I know that Tosh is going to be doing the actual saving but Urban and I are going to be there right with you guys. You know that as well as I do."

"Yes . . well . . . about. . . that. . . " this time he was stumbling over his own words and Gemma glared at him.

"Tell me what you’re implying Hadrian?"

"It's just. . . " Hadrian paused and Gemma glared at him.

"It's just. . . what Hadrian?" She repeated looking steadily at him suddenly finding herself wishing that her eyes where piercing through him, "You admitted that you needed us. You said we have to be there." She found herself blinking, "speaking of us. . . where is Urban?"

She never did find the answer to that because it faded out and she found herself in another room with another man that she didn't reconigize. She gave him a long suffering look which he rolled his eyes at.

"You know as many times as you shoot me that look Gemini you won't be with them."

"We where supposed to be helping them." She stated with a pount crossing her arms over, "We where she said she wanted us there. What did Hadrian do to convince her otherwise, Urban?"

"I don't know I wasn't there if you remember correctly" He responded with a brief glare, "You where. You should have realized something."

"I'm not with her twenty four seven." She snapped giving the handsome man a return glare. This wasn't solving anything she soon realised, "We need to be there." She stated, Urban just looked at her briefly.

"And how do you propose we get back to the 1940's? Those two have the only teleportation thing in existence." He pointed out and Gemma found herself sighing.
