Favorite novels: I read far too much to name my favorite novels. I prefer historicals, fantasy and classics, but to be honest I will read anything I find. I've lately tried to read more contemporary books and have found many new gems

Favorite writers: Georgette Heyer, Jane Austen, David Eddings, Elizabeth Moon, Charlie Dickens, Jasper Fforde, Michel Faber +++ so many others

Favorite music: This year I'm into some Gavin DeGraw, Snow Patrol, Nelly Fuertado, Adele, Aerosmith, Belle&sebastian, Esthero, the Goo Goo Dolls, Ghost of the Robot, The Knife, Santogold comfort music for low word counts is angsty power ballads :) And of course Radio Rivendell is a must for when that epic scene needs to be written

Non-noveling interests: Reading (doh), travelling, studying with the OU (doing a creative writing course this year), chatting to friends (online and in RL) and spending time with my BH and gerbils
