Premonitions
A novel by, Amy Copeland
Prologue
If you were able to choose to die, the way you were going to die – You would probably choose dying of old age in your bed, nice and comfortable and warm with surrounding family and friends. Wouldn’t you? I know this is the way I would want to die. In the arms of the person I love most, old and senile, nice and warm.
So how is it I always come to the same conclusions about my death? It’s always when I’m twenty five, in a hotel with a surrounding fire – not family. How do I always dream about this instead of puppies and kittens?
Twenty five seems as if it will take forever to get here, I’m not even twenty three yet. You ask how I know twenty five, well I have been having the same dream or vision, whichever you prefer, they do happen while I am awake as well as sleeping – since I was about six years old. I also have just had a piece of birthday cake, with those numbered candles, you know the ones they are actual numbers, on the birthday cake.
You may be asking now – how does she know it is even her? Well, when you see your name on the birthday cake for nearly twenty years – you would probably know it is you as well. Hey, lighten up will you this is my story not yours. I have come to terms with my fate, have you?
