Favorite novels: I've got too many favourites to mention. This year I've been reading Moorcock's Pyat quartet as well as novels by Banks, Murukami, Mieville, Womack and others.

Favorite writers: William Gibson, Terry Pratchett, Iain Banks, Neal Stephenson, Charles Stross, Borges...

Favorite music: Whatever's on my iPod - an eclectic mix ranging from Motorhead to Mozart. I've found it helps to have some ambient music on in the background when I'm writing.
