Synopsis: Raziar

Observers see the lines, Chasers exploit them. The results are a realm full of Shards - humans that lean on the animal side - and a dangerous stalemate between kingdoms and even counties that use Shards and Chasers as weapons.

Arhymnia is one such county, where military Raziar Sasilyna Delkyn finds herself in the midst of a surge of murders. When evidence piles on, Arhymnia's hired Shards flee, with her younger sister Ranara taken hostage.

Sasilyna is bent on finding her sister, but the court gives her no backing, of military or of money. Meanwhile, more Shards are fleeing their designated positions, a smoke trail of death left in their wake. Is it a gathering? If so, how can Sasilyna possibly pry her sister from the Shards' clutches, when Chasers' unreliable tricks are the only things stronger?
