It is not that people do not like me – indeed most of them have never met me – it is that they are afraid of what I am. They avoid me when they can. When they can’t, I prefer the ones that stare rather than those who force themselves to turn away because they think they are being polite.

It’s only natural. They fear only what they don’t understand. They would be more afraid than they are now if they did.

But, even so, they desire that which they fear. Having sipped upon the aphrodisiac of the Gods, they are helplessly addicted and would do anything to keep their greedy hands on it. And so I will continue to be used until the Gift devours me whole.
