For some reason, the age difference between Ryan and I and the Simon kids seemed large and insurmountable. Ryan and I were 12 and 14 now. We were interested in live-action main-stream comedies, pop music, and Mountain Dew. The Simon cousins still seemed to dream of going to Space Camp and had a huge inter-connected web of dolls and stuffed animals that had names and relationships to one another.
