Brief Author Bio:

Writing prose is not my strong point, but I love having a go at it every year. I always have pretty good ideas as to what I want to write into a novel, but this is probably the best excuse I have to actually WRITE the thing. I'm really excited to get this on!!

Synopsis: City Smog

City Smog is the story of two young girls in an alternate-reality New York City: one, a middle class teenager who desires something more than school and hiding from the polluted air in her family's apartment; the other, the result of a genetic experiment by a delivery company, deemed inperfect, and cast out onto the choking streets to fend for herself.

Excerpt: City Smog

It was one of those nights when sleep was irritatingly slow in coming. Gabrielle had to devote the waiting time to thinking, and instantly she knew that was a mistake, as the image of the Flyer came rushing back to her. For some reason, her mind simply wouldn’t let it go. The parcel had been so large, so oddly colored… it shouldn’t matter to her, and yet it did. Gabby wondered… was this, finally, something Different?
