Synopsis: Pleasure Principle
Sally is a high school senior with mirror-touch synesthesia, a condition in which she can feel other people touch each other. This causes her to have a bizarre fascination and mesmerization with the sense of touch. In the beginning of the book, she meets Jess, a psychology major. He has to do a research project for his psychology classes, and when he finds out about Sally's condition, he uses her as an expiriment. Sally quickly falls in love with him, but Jess only wants her as his "lab rat."
