Brief Author Bio: Here are some things about me: I'm a single, white female (run!) from regional Victoria, Australia. I don't mind where I live, though it's a huge change from the busy, cosmopolitan life that I used to live. That lack of entertainment means two things: first of all, I always seem to get very, very drunk, though I don't quite remember how and, secondly, I have plenty of time to write a 50,000 word novella during November. At least, that's the theory. I've never traveled or lived overseas and I don't watch horror movies which makes me the odd one out among my friends. It makes me feel as though I've lived a very boring, sheltered life. The exception to this is that when I was the tender age of 10, my mother finally admitted to me that there was no Santa Claus. I've been devastated ever since. When I grow up, I want to have a baby and a life partner, and I want to spend my time looking after them and writing stories. Less realistically, I'd like said baby to be perfect, said life partner to be Trent Reznor, and said stories to make me a million bajillion dollars that I can spend on funding research into creating a real, live unicorn. That would be fricking sweet. I signed up for NaNoWriMo at the dawn of time, but I didn't even attempt to start, let alone finish, until 2006. I reached a wordcount of over 30,000 before the second week. Unfortunately, the second week proved to be the hardest of all. As a result, I'm lost, like a big loser. I don't like television, but I love my shows; you know, Heroes, Family Guy, Angry Beavers. I'm more inclined to pick out a BBC adaptation of a classic story than a big budget Hollywood movie. Probably because the former costs about $5 a DVD, and the latter costs $35. Unless one downloads from the internet, which I would never, ever condone! Mostly. I play video games and computer games. Yes, I do play World of Warcraft. I also like guitar, but I'm really shit at it. And I like to read. I read anything. I have a puppy named Chelsea who is SO CUTE I COULD EAT HER LITTLE EARS OFF! The end! |
