Synopsis:
A deposed prince who wants nothing more than to disappear. A sleeping princess who has gone silently insane. A balance that has been broken - to disastrous consequences. And more...
Excerpt:
“You mean...a spell?” gasped Althea. It was quite amazing, really, how she managed to change her expressions at the drop of a hat, playing right into the typical prince’s stupidity. How delightful, then, that Connor was not one of those idiots. He hoped he wasn’t, at least.
“Yes, a spell,” he said in a clipped tone. “Some sort of spell meant to trap you here. I have rescued you, as you see, and the creators of the spell clearly meant that you never escape. I mean – they stationed a dragon here, as you see. There must have been something important about this place. Therefore, it is paramount that we depart at once and seek out this evil – and banish it.”
“Ah.” Now she flushed, and Connor knew that something bad was coming. Something worse than what he had already endured at the hands of this princess, this conniving, slightly more than slightly insane princess.
