Immortality
an excerpt
“My name, Dunn, comes from my mother’s side, the other side. The Dunn side were druids, capable of wondrous things. I was sent to receive the sacred knowledge for many years. I kept growing in power. I can see through metal, see heat and movement. If I concentrate, I can see the exact picture of the room, as if the metal isn’t there. I have a photographic memory, and am able to access any file at will. I have the gift of tongues. There are other things, but they aren’t as developed. Every year, I go back to Ireland for a week, to spend time with some Druids I know. By being together, we share each other’s power, and grow in our own. That’s where I got the ability to see through metal.
“That is the main thing about me. Now, what about you two? I know that there is something not normal, but I can’t place exactly what. But I know I’ve felt it before.”
Ariel and I looked at each other. “You tell it.” She told me, “You were the one who found it first.”
