Synopsis: Guardians of Shifting Times

Back in the Age of Exploration, a ship crossing the Atlantic Ocean was lost, presumed destroyed by some misfortune. Instead it has hit a portal that teleports it to a currently nameless world. There are no humans here. Instead, intelligent animal-like creatures of various species rule the world. For the most part, the natives could care less about these aliens; most of the creatures are merely intelligent enough to solve problems, but still remain animals in actions and thoughts.

But there are some that have the talent to learn the human's speech...the Guardians. And it is these Guardian's that have to decide whether the humans can stay or go. Some are neutral, others, who have bonded to paticular humans, are in favor. But there is one who will stop at nothing to kill them...

Avneil, Guardian of Desert-Lands, is furious. His younger brother is killed by one of the intruders, and his wrath will not be satisfied until they are all dead.

Now, Neorah, a fairly young Guardian, must protect Calida, a seven-year-old human who is lost from her parents. And the only way that will be possible it to get rid of Avneil...
