Conflict
an excerpt

Just as he was about to fall asleep, he felt something lightly touch his right shoulder. He gently turned his head towards his shoulder to see if there was something there and opened his eyes slowly in a daze. He had expected to see someone waking him to engage in a conversation, perhaps invite him to a game of poker. But instead he found Setsuna’s head on his shoulder. This startled Nagi, almost causing him to shake her head off. But then Nagi hesitated and looked back at her. He could hear soft breathing and realized she too must have drifted off into sleep. Setsuna had been training with Ku earlier in the morning than the others, running extra laps and practising the obstacle course. This was all to ensure that she was fit enough to complete the upcoming tramp without collapsing or anything. Nagi felt slightly uncomfortable, but it wasn’t the feeling you have when something didn’t feel right, it was more of the awkwardness and not knowing what to do in a situation he was placed in. He was pondering whether to shift her slightly back so that she wouldn’t be leaning on him, or to just stay as is. Upon pondering, all thoughts escaped his mind as his head plopped to the side and he slept. In the now empty cabin where every soldier was asleep, only Kufei kept her eyes open, smiling at the two dozing with their heads stacked on each other’s.
