Last year would have been my first NaNo. Unfortunately, on November 2, 2007, my mother was struck and severely injured by a hit-and-run driver. That kind of ruined my NaNo vibe. But! A new year, a new NaNo! My mother recovered splendidly from her injuries, although she now walks with mechanical aid, and I'm feeling good about participating in this year's WriMo. Cheer me on!
