INTERLUDE 11D
Balor had been set up in the most secure facilities possible. In theory, it should have been enough to prevent him from escaping. For all he knew, maybe it would test and surpass his limits. But he'd tasted freedom, and like a drug, the drug of lucidity, he'd wanted more.
He'd tasted beings of such amazing power.. and he'd sensed some of those beings trapped with in the walls that now trapped him. He didn't know what he'd be up against.
He didn't care about his own freedom; he really didn't. Yet, the plights of those around him.. trapped.. still living, still having souls.. like he used to have...
Trapped in these walls..
He had to get them out.
A plan was simple enough, aided by his psychic powers, and a little creativity. The whole plan was set into motion during the three and a half minutes downtime it took them to get him secured in the new facility. It had taken him less than two, since his brain had become able to operate at a faster-than-thought rate, if he wished.
He began splicing descent and hatred into the facilities. Drawing out people who could cause enough of a disruption..
He'd allowed those closest him to tap into their insanity, too. Pity the people in this very room were somehow immune to his powers.. Ahwell, the people four rooms down could still cause a distraction.
If they caught up with his involvement.. well.. it was too late to worry about that now. He'd escape. Not for freedom, or his own salvation.. but to draw their attention to him.. to stopping him.. instead of the others..
If it was the last humane thing he ever did, at least it would be something.. his mind hurt from thinking.. he fell into an almost catatonic state to escape...
If.. only.. he could remember.. his name....
