Eorphs and the Veks (prolly gonna change the name soon)
an excerpt

This is a sample from the prologue but here it goes:

Crying could be heard throughout the room. "It's a boy." The doctor said in a calm uncaring voice. The air in the hospital was heavy with the smell of chemicals. There was a blonde woman lying in the hospital bed sweating. She had brown eyes and was about five and a half feet tall and she was completely beautiful. Next to her was her husband; a man with brown thick hair and thin glasses. He was about a foot taller and thin. He was leaned over his wife and said " Hun', he's beautiful. What should we name him?" The woman, still breathing heavily, paused for a moment. "Damien." Her husband smiled. "Damien," he said letting it sink in. "Damien is a good name." One of the nurses took the newborn into the nursery with the other babies. Damien's brushed her hair off her forehead and kissed her. "You need to get some rest. I love you." He left the room and went to the nursery and stopped in front of a pale baby. The card on his plastic crib said DAMIEN on it and he smiled. He was a father. "Mr. Bleighz." He turned to face the voice and saw their doctor walking towards him with a clip board in his hand. "We've done some blood tests on your son and found something strange. We have seen it before but only just recently. It seems to be becoming more and more common." The doctor paused, took a deep breath. He looked Mr. Bleighz in the eye, his green eyes almost piercing through the new father. "Please come with me."
