His smile faded. “Well, when your mistakes catch up with you, your whole life is put into perspective. But, I’m not completely changed.”
“No?”
“No. If I was, I wouldn’t do this.” He moved to stand in front of her, his hand brushed her cheek as his lips moved closer to her own. She didn’t know what she expected but it was definitely not the gentle feeling of his lips or the light touch of his hand on her waist. She did know that when he pulled away, she instantly wished he hadn’t.
