Brief Author Bio:

Please don't really pay to much attention to the word count. I get hardly any time on this computer so most of my writing is in a notebook. I don't get to much time to type any of my words up, so the word count usually needs to be updated.

Excerpt: Through The Shadows

The sun shone brightly from the sky, heating up the land below. But it never reached the world underground. How could it? The cave which held the underground world wasn't very large, and the tunnels ran deep. No, in this part of the world, everything was dark and cold. It was just how Adriane liked it. Of course, it could have been a bit warmer, but that rally didn't matter. The darkness was all she cared about. For Adrianne, it was a shield. A shield from everything that was around her. Pain, suffering, death, it was all there. But with the darkness that surrounded her, she could forget about all of that. She could become a shadow, unseen and for just the briefest of times, free.
Freedom. It wasn't something Adriane really knew. For, as long as she could remember, she had been a slave. All because she had 'a gift'. At least, that's what everyone called it. A gift. Adriane rolled her eyes and gave out a low growl as she walked through one of the many underground tunnels. How anyone could call it a gift was beyond her knowledge. For her, it seemed like a curse. Not to say it couldn't be helpful at times, and even quite enjoyable, but she had to deal with in return was the problem, the curse.
